i'ts nice to hear from you again... here are my thoughts about your queries:
1. cheapest flight that I have seen is DXB-DOH-YUL-YWG( approx AED4,300) via Qatar airways.

I haven't heard from anyone that has tried YUL as the first entry point, so i won't risk to do that... however I heard many positive comments that immigration at Toronto is not very strict(compare to Vancouver) so what I am planning to do is take DXB-LHR-YYZ(Toronto -approx AED3,250/pax) as the first leg of the trip, then buy a separate ticket for the earliest flight for YYZ-YWG from Air Canada(around $270/pax[approx AED1,100]), the entire cost is almost the same as the direct flight from DXB-YWG
I think it is cheaper to buy tickets from Air Canada's official website, choose Country of
residence as Canada. http://www.aircanada.com/en/home.html
2. I think you can carry more than CAD$10,000 (plus CAD$2000 for each dependent).
3. I prefer traveller's check coz I have done that before...I'm not sure how the DD works. You can obtain the TC from any bank, just ask your preferred bank.

We are planning to go end of this month and need your help:

1- Low fare airline from AD/DXB to Winnipeg (it can be through Toronto or Montreal)
2- How much cash we should carry, we are four in family, my self, wife and 2 children.
3- Which way is better other than cash to carry our money traveler's Cheque or DD (Demand Draft), and from where we can obtain that.

Hello all who got their PP and getting ready to fly. Congrats!!!!! specially to SSET who has been very supportive here to everyone. Wish all the best for your settlement in canada.

I got my AOR in Feb this year and since than i have heard nothing from them and appears as if they have put dead stop on my case. However, E-case shows in process. i've sent query email to them and got no reply for long time. After all this i have given up and going to request for withdrawal of my application.

thank you for the good wishes and also for your help and support on this forum.
I am so sorry to hear that you are planning to withdraw your application... I do understand how frustrating to wait, I am not sure what is your other plan however if you think your current application will impede or has great impact on your new plans then withdrawing the application would be benificial, however if it won't make any difference or just withdrawing it due to frustration, I suggest to take it easy and do not cancel the application rather just make a plan B. This is just my opinion, still the decision is up to you.

A little bit of patience, my brother. You've been patient and waited for almost one year. No need to despair now will soon hear good news. God willing, next month will share our congratulations access request for a medical examination
