Hi, my wife is main applicant and I am dependant for paper based PR application. It has been 7+ months for our application at Sydney office. We both are inland. I was wondering if we can do the medical upfront, is it okay? Anyone know anything about this? Thank you.
Doing medicals upfront does not mean the process of your application will speed up. While you can still go ahead and do them, there is the risk of them expiring as they are valid for one year. I am also an inland applicant, my AOR was Jan 2021 and just this week received a MR letter

BCPNP inland
AR: Aug-4
AOR: Feb-5
MR: MAR-1
MP: Apr-1
DM on Ecas: June-12
The status link showed DM on Ecas but when I clicked in the last line is still "medical has been received". Also, my GCMS note received on May-22 showed that eligibility still not started. So is this DM status an error on Ecas? Any suggestion?
1. Did you do your Medicals upfront or did you receive a MR letter

2. It could be an error. My Ecas had showed that IRCC had received my medicals before I had even done them. When I called, I was informed that it could be an error and to ignore it. Also I recall one of the members shared a while back that IRCC updated his Ecas after he received his DM. It appears, what we see in Ecas is not always up to date

I want to say that being patient is the key in this process cause there isn’t much we can do other than waiting. I was so stressed and depressed while waiting for my DM, I even cried serveral times. I am so happy that I didn’t give up and waited. You will all get yours soon!!! Stay strong!!!

If you mean registering for Ecas so you can get update alerts, Ecas does not do that. You have to keep going to the link https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en
and fill in your information to check your status. However, GC Key online does send updates via email.

I believe the letter being referred to is my MR which I received on June 14.

Anyone knows what Eligibility Review Complete means

Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE
The review at the CIO-Sydney has been completed. A letter with additional information has been mailed.

Visa Office - Eligibility Review Complete
The review of the application and supporting documents has been completed at the visa office. A letter with additional information has been mailed.

There are two options for medical 1. You can do upfront medical where you don't need MR from IRCC, 2. Do medical after receipt of MR. In your case your lawyer is asking for medical based on ADR by IRCC so he must have letter as well. Anyway, you must go for upfront medical to avoid any delay ad per my understanding.
Upfront medicals for paper based applications come with the risk of having to redo them after they expire. Paper based applications take long while EE take a shorter time hence IRCC requires upfront medicals. You can do yours upfront but be careful not to do them too early in your application process.

Agreed! I am convinced that paper based applicants should not go far upfront medical until u receive MR because there is no time line and Medical will be expired in 1 year. I don't think its help alot to expedite PR process maybe u can save a week or two.
