SINP PNP Inland paper application
AR - 2019 June 26
Additional Documents Request -2019 Dec 17th - submitted next day and got acknowledged
Invitation to pre-arrival service letter - 2019 Dec 18th
Nothing happened since then
No medical request or bio what so ever. - shows you do not need a medical exam
Eligibility still being reviewed
Additional documents still being reviewed
Background check still being processed

Seems to be taking a long time.
Did everyone receive a medical exam request? Why did I receive the invitation to Pre-arrival if I wasn't eligible ?
My current PGWP is expiring Nov 30th but application shows estimated date of Dec 26th.
At this point is it pretty likely that my application will not be approved before my visa expires? Should I prepare to get out of country at that point? But what about my job and provincial nomination and address change?
have you tried to request gcms notes?

Hi Bigpineapple,

You can not apply for BOWP. Don't waste your time by doing this. You will finally end up in restoration status.
You're only eligible to apply for a close work permit. Same as me. These are documents you need for that purpose.

1. Employer needs to pay $230 dollar fee, I think they may provide us some receipt or some reference number as a proof.
2. Provisional nomination - work permit support letter
3. Pre-arrival letter - means you passed first stage of eligibility criteria.
4. Provisional nomination

There are the primary documents required for a closed work permit. I also applied for PR thorough SINP existing work permit program.
Hey Logan - where does the employee pay the compliance fee? I tried to look for closed work permit link on IRCC website but only found a paragraph of it but not sure where to pay it

The email that they received your application
Hi Claudiah
Do you know where I can find info regarding closed work permit? I only found a paragraph under the work permit for provincial nominees but it does not seem to state where the employer pays for compliance fee

Not you, Your employer has to create an account and do this.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/partners-service-providers/employer-portal.html

By the way, Are you a SINP candidate? If so, It is similar to SINP Job Approval letter where your employer does everything for you, But it is for Federal Gov.
Read those User Guide.

If you have an Nomination , Work permit support letter, job offer, and accepted as Principal applicant in PR application, This is LIMA exempted. This is just a fee to hire a foreign worker.
Thank you Logan. I think among all options this is the best option for me. i do have the nomination letter, job approval letter and job offer. I still have half a year left until my currrent work permit expires - i am not sure if I should apply the closed work permit right away or wait for a little bit? I did request GCMC notes couple weeks ago. IRCC account shows I am 54% progress but so far I have not heard anything after the PAL last Nov and no medical request what so ever.

In the case the person is already working for the company (through open or a closed work permit).
Can you use an old job offer letter? Or is necessary that the employers creates a new one?

I have a question here and hope someone can give me some advice.

My employer temporarily closed his business and stopped paying me since March. He told me to apply for CERB (I applied) and come back to work after the COV-19.

I have the PGWP and nominated in Alberta.
In my case, should I inform anything to AINP and CIC? Am I unemployed or still employed? Should I consider a new job?

My status is as follows:
  • AR - May 9, 2019
  • AOR - Jun 9, 2019
  • Medical Request - Oct 18, 2019
  • Medical Received - no date on this
  • RPRF - November 15, 2019
I used the Webform to contact CIC about my process and received "The background verifications are in process." - Apr 10, 2020

You have to inform the AINP office as well as IRCC that you are no longer employed. They will get back to you on the next steps to follow. I have yet to hear of anyone getting their nomination withdrawn so far. They stated they will treat on application on a case by case basis.

If you don't inform them they consider that misrepresentation.
