I have a situation that I have to go to my home country for 2 months, Once I am done with passport request, can I leave immediately and do the landing when I return after 2 months vacation. Is there any risk in doing that?

you guys are way past the 18 month "general" processing time right? have you called CIC to find out whats going on? my 18 month is coming up next week.

every time i call them they say " your application is within the timeline so cannot give you much information. please contact again when your have past 18 months". Do they actually give out details if we go over 18months? or do they still say "oh we don't know what is going on. just wait and someone will contact you as soon as a decision is made?:

What kind of rule and regulation prohibits us from knowing what is going on with our own application? FRUSTRATING

Mine already past 18 months. They told me everyone's case is different. Don't compare with others.
18 months is just an estimate! And they cannot give you a definite due date.

Anyone here did landing at a CIC office recently?

I only got the COPR & a letter that requests me to make an appointment to finalize my PR.
(is it normal if i didnt get any email with scheduled date to meet the officer? coz i heard some inland do..)
And what should i bring with me on the day of the interview? is POF, Employment letter needed?) what will they ask?
Any idea the wait time currently for Vancouver office? thanks
