PNP PR - October-November-December 2016 Applicants

Every morning I wake up full of hope, just to realize it's a waiting game, with no predictable or even logical timeline.
Oct. 27, no update since the BGIP Feb 27 one.

Almost same timeline but BGIP changed in Jan 2018

Do you guys know how long does it usually take to pass security check? Mine hasn’t started yet.

nobody knows, it differs. could be 1 day, could be 1 year.

I believe your security haven't started yet is much better than in progress by outside agencies such as CSIS, CBSA and RCMP. As such, IRCC cannot provide a time frame as to when they will be completed.

Few applications have been selected and transferred to external agency -including mine. As my local MP has confirmed this unfortunate fact recently.

What do you mean by processing outside? I didn’t even know that it works this way. So it basically means that it pretty much depends on the agencies/entities from my hime country how fast the process will be, right? Or does it mean that only some applicants (maybe it depends on their nationality) have it processed outside Canada?

if you get an extensive security screening it means they will run you through all those agencies and it takes up to a year.
Security check is not as complicated and is done quickly.

upfront medical done October 2017, still received MR on December 17 2017,
officers are lazy asses, passed my ME on March 20th 2018, then my account was updated on April 16, agent told me the security was done, waiting for final review, bring forward date is May 1st,
then May 1st PPR received.
