You are scaring me now. I hope that they dont change the rule for allocating US based applications based on distance(or earlier zone) because i am 6 hrs drive from that visa office :o. After pointing this out, now i think i am even ok with Ottawa (forget that i want to be in some outland office like manila or paris or abu dhabi). :D

Then my question would be:
What is the process for changing the visa office to outland? Would it be changing the address or moving to that address itself? :P

:P ::) :P

Don't worry. I am sure you will be allocated in a much faster VO than losT Angeles. ;D

Where is everybody?
So there is no action in this thread till next batch of MR?

Ya its friday. I can understand. ;)
Any other updates or news?

It's Oh So Quiet ........
ssshhhhhh...

NO EPs, NO sleep :o

Just a question here, I did my medical 2 weeks ago and my stats on ecas is still the same, its crazy coz I called the clinic to check if they already sent the medical results and they said they cannot verify or disclosed the info. I called cic call center and I was advised that it will never be updated online coz its an internal thing, and if I already sent the proof via registered mail that is more than enough. Anyone with the same situation here? my office is in CIO not ottawa

Dear Mrs.ppr,

I am also running this type of problem,i am outland applicant.i done my medical 01 August 2015 & doctor upload my medical report same day,bur ecas not still not showing medical received, but doctor says they upload the medical report,i send email regarding medical in cic but they don't give me any reply,i think they are working slow because i am getting medical request from my VO very fast at this time cic works i am going to slow down process.

Ottawa can also be compared to CIC for its mysterious way of processing applications. Due to large volume at this office, its not a surprise. CIC should start allocating some to other VOs or else we will have to test our luck again again for every step.

Congratulation. Even we all got surprised from your update, specially RPRF and PCC request within 3 days of AOR.

Do you or any of your dependent belongs to Nepal ??

Yeah but its really hard to keep on waiting for an update from CIC. I am not only waiting for AOR but WP as well since May :( :'(

Visa office - Can cic call center agents tell about the file transfer location? I need to send pcc. Not sure if its going to be Ottawa or Sydney.
Have you heard of from any of the seniors got answer from them? I know that if we ask what is the status and processing time then they dont say anything but can we get answer for this?
Calling CIC from US (ouside Canada) is also another issue whereas that number is reachable from inland.

Mohan,
As I know in Paris Visa Office if they need a new PCC from applicant, they ask for electronic (Scanned) version to be send to their email address! I know it is a little strange because always visa offices ask for original (Paper) version of PCC but in some visa offices they accept electronic version.

Normally, File Transfer will take 15 to 21 days for all visa offices around the world and it means if it already 21 days passed from your AOR, you can be sure that your file is in your visa office.

From a year ago CIC changed its policy and they are collecting all documents and information related to all applications in a central place and then they will forward those documents and information to the local visa offices around the world with their internal workflow and electronic base systems. This system (Case Specific Enquiry) can be used for sending any information like change of address, sending extra documents, report an issue,... and it can be accessed by applicants from here:

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

And also IF applicant knows where exactly his/her local visa office is (In your case Ottawa visa office), this link can be used instead of previous one for Ottawa visa office(It will be received by the same center but it will have a tag to be forwarded to Ottawa visa office):

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=ottawa

I suggest you, wait until 1st of September (21 days pass from your AOR date) and then send a scan version of your PCC with all details with one of above forms and they will forward your PCC to your local visa office and they will add it to your application easily! You can tell them you know, you have to send the original version of your PCC but because you didn't know where your visa office is and any PCC has a validity time then you decided to send Case Specific Enquiry form instead. If they want then they will ask you to send your original version to the address they like.

Good Luck
