Hi, Please clarify this for me as I received second medical letter without informing me that my first medical results was passed or failed. did you receive second medical letter after performing your first medical test? Did you perform your medical test two times?

I think they just used their second MR with IME (not the blank form), that’s why they passed so quickly

If u added spouse after aor or informed them other major change then i guess it’s normal otherwise call them

I applied with my spouse. I will give them a call today and see what they have to say

Yep, I can't agree with you more, officially they are saying 20% of the applicants in 2017 were done in 11 months.
The other 80% took up to 16 months, and now it is 18 months.
However fortunately, current trend looks getting faster, since they have changed some of their procedures. For example, they start the IP2 before the Medical. And many mid and end of 2017 applicants get the Medical way faster.

How do you know if they start IP2 before the Medical? IRCC has announced it?
I also wonder if i'm one of the cases because my Medical status is "You do not need a medical exam. we will let you know if this changes" / BG status is "We are processing your background check."

and why will this trend make the applicants get the Medical faster?

It is from the posts in this forum, and I myself got the IP2 before the Medical.
And yes, you got the IP2 before the Medical as well, as you know, parallel processes can save time instead of putting them in queue.
I think being optimistic doesn't hurt us.

what do you mean by parallel system? are they working on BG and medical at the same time?
and if i'm on stage IP2, will i get a Medical request soon? do you know how long does it take to get MR updated after the IP2?
or your case?

I have the same timeline. I added my spouse after the AOR, so I believe it is normal to wait a few more months until MR.

Its Normal i guess i added my spouse after Pnp still waiting for medical

Nothing, This is ridiculous, applicants from april and may already passed medicals and we are stuck because of error made by them. I recommend everybody to give them a call and ask when this is going to be fixed.

As someone else mentioned it will likely take the full 18 months, they are ridiculously slow.

My advice is just move on with your life and don't think about it, it'll arrive one day.

Usually it takes 2.5- 3 month after medical request to get passport request, provided you do medicals as soon as possible.
