Any updates on DM or PRR for Jan-Mar 2016 Applicants? Anyone hear any good news?

Have they been processing the files in batches historically? It seems like theres very little activity going on currently, does this mean there will be a huge batch of DM coming up soon?

Yeah. It seems like they are on vacation or working on many applications. Regardless no of app. they should work in timely manner.

I am Feb end applicant, passed medical on 10th and waiting to Background check to be in progress.

Why they request passport to you ?

They requested because my passport going to expire in 3 months

Nowadays it seems, Once BG changes to Inprocess, applicants gets DM with in 2 or 3 day.

Not really, security check might take another 3 -4 months after you pass the medicals. I am still waiting with a background check in progress. Dec 2015 applicant

Correct me if I am wrong. I think the process after Medical is passed, the Background Changes to In Progress when your file is put to security check. After some days a Decision is Made and then the passport request is send in a day or two or about a week (depends). I understand no body from Jan has their BG check changed to In Progress.

After medicals are passed, security check might take some months and not days.

Not really, security check might take another 3 -4 months after you pass the medicals. I am still waiting with a background check in progress. Dec 2015 applicant

In my opinion each file differs case to case
But in a general after medical
Ur back ground check turn not require to in progress with in approx 1month.

Then again once ur done with back ground check it will turn in to Not
Applicable (means u have completed BG check) in 15 days approx.

And after it you they will update decision made might be with in 10-15 days
N U will get ppr mail in few days --- good luck guys , update everyone here if u receive something ...

Hey, i am a member of more than one forum and from what i have seen, security check is not a couple of days for most cases.

It is a totally stand alone process that takes time.

Agreed it takes time. I was talking about status change. When background check is Not Applicable it doesn't mean they are not working on it.
