I just want to confirm something. I have heard that even though your background check is done, still it will show in progress before D.M. or PPR. Is it true or ? Thanks in advance.

Jan 6, 2016 application, Jan 23, 2017 passed medical, BG not applicable.

Any update in your File ?

Correct me if I am wrong. I think the process after Medical is passed, the Background Changes to In Progress when your file is put to security check. After some days a Decision is Made and then the passport request is send in a day or two or about a week (depends). I understand no body from Jan has their BG check changed to In Progress.

Nowadays it seems, Once BG changes to Inprocess, applicants gets DM with in 2 or 3 day.

In my case, my BG and final decision has changed in progress even before I passed the medical.

BUT still in there, nothing changed after medical passed. Hopefully something moves forward.

Any updates on DM or PRR for Jan-Mar 2016 Applicants? Anyone hear any good news?

Have they been processing the files in batches historically? It seems like theres very little activity going on currently, does this mean there will be a huge batch of DM coming up soon?

Not to forget as this was the last month of the fiscal they might be involved in other non routine activities. I look forward for them to be pro active in the summer.

March 2016 with all things passed. Only background is left. In my GCMS note, criminality, eligibility, med are passed. Just wonder What are they checking for security ? And How long will it take, I see a due date of April, 28, 2017 from GCMS notes ?

Processing time is getting worse day by day. Earlier applicants use to get MR on 11 month after application received by CIC, than it went to 12 month not it is going to 13 month.
