*NOTE: Calgary don’t touch your file until at least after 5 months its gets down there. It goes into a pile and waits for its turn for review.
*New Updates: Jan 21, 2020: I got mail from Calgary LVO requesting another schedule A, employment letter, Family info, and Verification of Status. They gave me two weeks to forward everything to them.
*Feb 04, 2020 ECAS changed from “application received” back to “in process”. It was changed from “in process” to “application received” in Aug 2019 when my application was transferred to Calgary.
In my case they sent my file from sydney to ottawa first in june 2019 then last week it is transferred again to LVO and they said Halifax office? I never heard about that

Yes, I received it today and the issued date is shown today's date in my CIC account and on the letter as well.
I am wondering if PAL means actually eligibility is passed and that also means they will not ask me to provide any additional documentation such as what you were asked.
what do we need to apply for bridging open work permit? I mean do we have to have job letter or employer support?

Hello Guys . I m so confused 3 weeks ago i called CIC and agent told me that eligibility is in process. Today i called cic and agent told me that my eligibility is not even started yet.

Since I got the PAL on March 1st, there is no update on ECAS and I asked the MP office for help to check my status for mee, but haven't heard anything back yet.
However, I also applied for the PR through Express Entry and got an invitation last week.
It has been 2 years and 6 months but no update on my application except the PAL.
I don't want to waste my time to wait for it. Therefore, I will proceed my application under EE rather than waiting for the DM under PNP.

You are almost there! Since you just receive preArrival letter this month. Maybe you can give it till end of this month.
The PreArrival letter is a good sogn that they you passed eligibility and they have resumed working on your file.

Pre-Arrival letter means you already passed the eligibility. If they need additional documents to prove if you are still working, that will be before you get PAL letter.
You have waited long enough to get to this stage. I am in my 26th months as well. I also got my PAL 3 days ago and am hopeful within 4 to 6 weeks i will get PR (InShaAllah)
I also had the same thought of redirecting to EE but l had to be a little more patient looking at the stress, trauma , and expenses of Police certificates, MR, Fess etc.
Since you have 60 days to apply for EE, wait for 4 weeks before you submit the EE application
