that's right , background check include medical, eligibility, criminality, security, misrepresentation and other checks.

security check is just a part of the background checks in general.

one more thing is that don't take the information from IRCC call center agents too seriously , they don't always have the full info anyway and sometimes it seems they have no clue how the process or the system works .

That’s impossible, cause BG check is security check, if ur BG check was complete, ur security check must be completed. My opinion.

Eligibility, security haven't started, criminality in process since April-May...There is no information of medical has been extended or not. I am really tired and exhausted of this. 12 days to go... It's not possible that no one has touched my application

man , I feel your situation . but maybe it's like some of ours , one day they tell you it's not started yet and the next day it's passed. that has happen to a lot of people, including myself . don't give up hope just yet.

Anyone have any idea how we know they extend our medical. My first medical is going to expire on 7 july.

It's hard to say because it seems the agents request for a medical at their discretion. I applied Jan 27, 2017, my medical expired in March 2019, and I got a requested for re-medical May 30, 2019. Some people have gotten their PR, others got a request to re-do medicals, and others are still waiting. I called CIC in March to ask what they'll do and the agent didn't give me an answer and then I got the request to re-do medicals two weeks ago.
