Today I sent an email to CIC. I'm waiting for an answer. Almost 20 months of application.
Awaiting the request for passports.
Unfortunately everything is stopped.
I applied in July 2017 I'm on the same wait. Difficult wait. . .
Your medical took so long-over a year after you applied. Did something happened in-between those time? And did they request Schedule A from you at any point?

Lol calm down there. I am September 18 2017 and I know AT LEAST 4 more people from September just waiting in frustration.
And what makes it worse is that a November 1st applicant got his PPR.
An immigration sent me an email asking for the medical tests.
Application Date: July 2017
Request for medical examinations: July 2018

background check is before the medical examinations or after the medical examinations?
It should be the last step before PPR and DM. The steps are Criminality -> Eligibility -> Security
If you have received ghost updates after medical passed, probably your background check was passed.
My application passed 1 year already, and I have not got the MR. nothing update since AOR. I believe he is too.
