yes, you can press 0 and wait for the agent to pick up. it's not easy to get hold of them, better to call early in the morning or closer to the end of the day

I called CIC and according to the agent I'm in the last stage of security, but I was checking and you are right there are people who get the PPR super quick after that and others who get stuck there forever. I hope it doesn't take that long. I haven't missed any document and I'm a single applicant.

Let's see how many people who got ghost update are still waiting for the PPR?

I'll start:

App submitted April 18, 2017
Ghost update July 26, 2018

No PPR yet

What’s a ghost update?
it's when you log into GCKey see your account has been updated, you click on it to go inside the application and see that nothing has changed and your application status goes back to "submitted". This ghost update happens when your application is updated on the back end, but not on the front end. The general rule is that when you get the ghost update you get PPR quickly after that because it means all your checks have been finished.

Thank you. :)

Before AOR and without a file number, you cannot send new photos. New photos will not find a way to your files. I think the best solution for you will be to call CIC and ask what to do.
Thank you very much; since I have submitted two application, one for work permit and this one for permanent resident, I found that I already have a UCI number; so I think as you said, it is better to send the new photos with a cover letter which describe the situation and my details like UCI and others. Is it a right way?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what is "Ready for PS?". I am stuck in this stage for 5 months now. June 2017 Applicant

Public Safety, it refers to Security Check.
Thank for your reply. Any idea how long it usually takes? All my assessments are passed

It takes about 6 months in average. For some people it was done in as short as 3 months, for the "luckiest" ones who got through security screening process it took about a year.

mine took around 4-5 months, I will be able to tell more precisely when I get my new set of GCMS notes.
Wow, so you passed background check? whats your timeline?
