already got DM and PPR , waiting for Ottawa to send our passports back , which were delivered on July 25.

what I am saying is that if your BOWP application was refused , is it possible that you did something wrong ? maybe missed some documents

When did you do your Medical exam?

I am not sure.
I paid $155.
I don’t know if the refusal was due to
this fee.
Maybe I should be paying $255 and not $155.
man , now we know what caused the refusal . for BOWP it's 100 application fee and 155 work permit holder fee and in paid representative account the fees are Not automatic , you have to select what you want to pay .

Hmm, but the reason didn’t say I underpaid. The officer said I didn’t meet the eligibility requirements or could that also mean that?

I don't know how your application was put together and what documents were included in it . so we can't assume what the exact reasons are . but the fee alone is enough for refusal already .

Okay thanks bro.
Some people say I need an immigration lawyer which could be very expensive.

Also I noticed that the time interval btw MR and PPR is very close. I have seen this in many timeline that people provided. Just like yours too

I work for an Immigration lawyer and I think it's safe to say that it doesn't make any difference now to hire one now. you can do it by yourself .

and my application was approved the next day the panel physician uploaded the medical results to IRCC .

Okay cool.
One thing, the refusal Is somehow confusing because as first the officer said:

We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expired on August 01, 2019.

Afterwards he/she said:
You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status, you submit:
 a completed application form;
 applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should be made online at www.cic.gc.ca. When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your application.
 all required documents in support of your application.
Please consult the section “Restoration of status” in the application guide: “Applying to change conditions or extend your stay in Canada”. Please note that there is no guarantee your application will be accepted.
Should you choose not to apply for restoration of your status, you will remain a person without legal Temporary Resident Status and as such will be required to leave Canada immediately. If you do not leave Canada voluntarily, enforcement action may be taken against you.

The confusing part is that after saying my status is expired the he/she said if I do not reapply within 90days my I remain a person without legal temporary resident status.

It do not know know which to follow

to me it's very clear that the VO is giving you another chance to get things right . also it's very clear that you should do a restoration and apply for BOWP when it has been approved .

don't mind the part where they remind you your status is expiring . I have seen so many of them already , they always remind you that .

I think I should be more clearer,
my previous work permit expired like May 2019 and before that I applied for BOWP
which was refused.
Now the way I understand it and from that letter that after treating my application since my previous work permit is expired and they have finished treating my application so I have no status here in Canada.
Is this right?
