Are you an inland applicant?

If you have the Immigrant Stamp in your passport, you still have to "land" or was it just because you were outside Canada and you had to land anyway?

Yes I am Inland Applicant my friend. ::) ::)
I done my Landing in Ontario at Windsor-Detroit Bridge on July 5th, 2016... ;) ;)

Officer was NICE, She ask me general questions about Background, Criminal offence,Name and Address Or If I want to change it for the PR card stuff..then just stamp both the landing papers that you are going to get along with your passport and sign it ..and [he/she] handover to you for to Sign it..
[ONE COPY belongs to CIC -THAT'S THE ONE WITH PHOTO -SO OFFICER TOOK IT AND other copy they gave you back and processing time of your PR CARD will be 6-8 weeks...so that document is only valid by land if you want to go out of Canada by LAW ..SO WAIT UNTIL YOU GET YOUR PR CARD TO what-ever things you planned except for United states[by land only ] to go on an Aeroplane or air-route to any other country.]

Afterwards ask me what items I bring with me , it's just 13000$ shopping stuff 8) 8), I declare everything     ..It's all tax free :p :p but only under your name "Possession" along with the items receipt that you got or bringing from States [Note- only at the landing day once in your life so Shop your items to max limit ::) ::) according to your needs].....

Then they say Congrats to you and Warm Welcome to CANADA ^_^...FEEL THE COMPLETE INDEPENDENCE   AFTER 4 YEARS 9 MONTHS STRUGGLE..gIVES YOU gREAT RELIEF [ cAN'T DEFINE IN ANY set of words].........yuhOOOOOO no more study ,work permits renewal things and headache about the employer stuck program.. ..

THE WHOLE PROCESS TOOK EXACTLY 15MINS 49SECS..

Good Luck to all of you Guys .. 8) 8)

Congrats buddy. I now know who you (a PR) feel - I/We landed yesterday :D.
Officer took 1 hour in Saskatoon (only 3 officers are handling the immigration and customs at my gate) but not bad to wait for an hour to get PR while comparing to the years waited :).
Officer read my mobility rights and other rights which i get as a PR :). Feeling the freedom of roaming free in the big country :).
This will be the short landing for me.

Good luck to the ones waiting. After the postal strike it should clear through. Dont worry. We waited for years hence let us hold for few more days.

Whats does NOC 9914 mean on PNP certificate? Does it fall in NOC 0, A or B?

I have applied for my wife's open work permit. I have submitted my employment letter as well as PNP certificate. My employment letter mentions NOC code 1122 whereas PNP certificate mentions NOC code 9914.

Will it be a problem?

Thanks in advance!

I`m in a weird situation as the border is too far from here, so I cannot do landing there.

What kind of paper did you get from CIC before landing? Was it just saying that your PR was approved and wait for the card? ( and you just did the landing process to make it quicker? )

What about if you do the landing, give them your address and move out from there before you receive the PR Card?

Why did you do the landing process? Just to be able to leave the country sooner than you receive the PR Card?

Simply put : You are NOT a PR unless you complete the landing process. Please do not tell the officer that you would be switching provinces while completing your landing exercise as the CBSA may refuse you the right to land and be disqualified to become a PR of Canada. Once the landing is complete, you then will have the right to move freely withing Canada without any restrictions.

Oh, so everyone has to "land" to be PR. Good to know.

Can I do landing process at the local airport without physically leaving the country?

Or shall I just pack up everything, go to the US border, do the landing and continue my way to my new province? I ofc won`t tell the officer that I moved out already :)

What does the officer need for landing? ( I`m from a Visa-exempt country )

- PR letter from CIC
- Passport
- Passport with immigraion stamp ?
- Passport photos
- Employer letter ?

As the border is 2000km away, I do not want to go down, do the landing, than come back to pack up and do the same route again. Hopefully I can find a way to do this smart.

If it is tought to go to border for you, better go to local CIC office and complete your landing.

The "local" CIC office is 1500km away :D :D

The main question now is:

Shall I just pack up everything, go to the US border, do the landing and continue my way to my new province? I ofc won`t tell the officer that I moved out already 8)

My planned move to other province is a long way and I can stop at a US border to do the landing without any extra effort really. We have 2 cars, so I can also remove most of the stuffs from one of them and use that for landing ( so the border officers cannot see all my belongings in the car ), the other can stay at the hotel.

With the document the officer will give me at landing is full PR right? So I do not really have to wait for the PR card, I can just work anywhere with that doc and the PR card is for travel only?
