Hello Guys,

I have question regarding passport request from cic. Currently me and my wife are in Canada and my application is in process since June 2015 (changed recently to March 2015). I don't know when will we get passport request and my wife is planning to go to Home country for vacation. We were hoping to get PR by September but nothing yet. My file reached to CIC September 2014 and medical is done too in April. I am expecting PR any time now.

So my question is, can my wife submit her passport in home country for stamp when we receive passport request here? I will be in Canada. We tried to call CIC but no luck. They were rude and didn't answer our question. My wife is on work permit right now and doen't have multi entry visa (she got work permit just last week after 5 months of waiting.) If we get PR then we dont want to waste another $125 for TRV. Can she apply for TRV in home country ?

Hi,

Yes you can submit your wife passport at home country. you would need to inform CIC regarding that once you recieve your Passport request and they will arrange for the same.

The only thing important here to note is that even though you can send your Passports seperatly for stamping and COPR, but the Primary Applicant needs to Land before his dependents. So in case you are the primary applicant, you will need to do the landing first and then your dependents. In case you are going to do the Landing together, then its not an issue.

Nopes, she doesn't require any visa while travelling back for Landing. So don't worry about that. When you send your passport after PPR, you get your passport with a Visa stamped and a COPR Paper. So you are all fine during Landing. No extra visas required

Man i am stuck after additional doc req on IP after july 17. Could you suggest , what i can do ...should i drop email or should i contact CIC?

My representative said , don't do that....as if it goes wrong he won't be responsible......so now stuck in my thought process...

Decision made since 3rd of September 2015

Also I want to ensure that they will communicate with me via email not regular mail but I tried to call them they refuse to give me any useful information but they told me that they will send me mail not email considering that all their correspondence before were via e-mail

Seems to be pause in CIC and there process...No one moving from IP to DM or DM to PPR....i am in IP from july 17...
Hope this pause ends....

Hi Igor,
That must have been a long wait. Did you try contacting CIC in this waiting time period or did something else to speed up the process. I have been waiting for PPR too, i got DM on 31st August.

If you are from visa exempt country then you will get your COPR in regular post only, thats what we could see many posts on regular mail after DM.

Sent my passports today
Yes I did...I wrote an email to CIC in Cydney since I didn't know where are my documents and after a month got an answer that my file has been approved and the case is in Ottawa, then I emailed to Ottawa and got an email to send everything after 2 days. ..
I don't know if it was that fast respond or just a coincidence though.
