. Hii Quink. I have exactly same 5 lines in ECAS as yours. They request my medical same may 7 2015. I applied on december 18. I am still waiting for DM. And application is still in process. I saw you completed everything like in september. Do i need to ask CIC why my file is taking this long or what should i do?

No, I think my timeline was not typical and ended up being a lot quicker than most. My situation was about as simple as it gets - no family, small amount of countries visited, have never lived in any other countries other than my home country and Canada, etc.

The May 7th medical requests came in a huge batch - there had been a delay on any new AOR's and MR's for the first 5 months of 2015, and then a lot of them landed at once. I think the only reason for my timeline going quickly is that at each stage when someone checked my file there were no other things needed and I moved to the next step straight away. In most people's cases there will be another background check (waiting on a different country to get back to them for example) or document needed or something, and your file needs to circle back while they get all the processing done.

The processing time is still listed as 15 months, although I have a feeling this will come down on their next website update. You could try calling, however you will have difficulty getting someone to tell you anything if you're within the listed time. Hopefully the estimate lowers soon, and you can call them as soon as that time has passed.

My ECAS also shows completed after having entered Canada on Oct 28th, 2015.

My ECAS status has changed to "Complete", saying
"You entered Canada at the Carway office on October 17, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident."

Line 6 was in regards to Police Certification which the office in Sydney received on October 19th. (Police Certs came from the United States and took 13 weeks)

I am QSW through PEQ so basically PNP... ... I got DM september 10 and PPR October 22...

Dec 31 2014 applicant. Got ip on Sept 14 2015. Since then no update. Cic agent confired that my file is complete. I also got reply from ottawa that my file is there and no need of additional documents at present time. Still waiting for DM and ready for visa email

I don't know what to say about the processing order in CIC. However, I have a feeling that nationality play an important role in criminality and security check. This is what I see so far:
People fro Europe (East or west) and developed asian cuntries (like S. Korea) get DM and PPR faster. After that people from South America, China and India.
My feeling is that for people from Middle East, this will take longer (I mean background and criminality check) ??? ??? ???

I think this is a good theory. It's really the main variable between people's applications, and something that CIC has no real control over the timeline. If you've lived in a country that has a known slow response time for criminality checks, then your application for PR can only go as fast as that. People with simple background checks are going to overtake those that are stuck in the bureaucracy of certain countries.

This update is not as critical as a lot of you guys are having, but I wanted to share anyway. My ECAS has been updated at some time in the last few days (not sure exactly when because I don't check it daily anymore). The main page now says that the status is "Complete", and a new line has been added when you click through to the details:

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April 30, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on April 30, 2015.
4. We sent you medical instructions on May 7, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
5. Medical results have been received.
6. You entered Canada at the Douglas office on September 30, 2015 and became a Permanent Resident.

There is still no reference to the processing of my PR card, so I'll keep checking ECAS to see if that happens.
