Processing times have been updated: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/provincial.asp

CPC Ottawa has come down again and is now listed as 15 months. So this means for the December group our time is up in March 2016. Obviously hoping that the recent trends of it being a lot sooner continue, but at least this is somewhat positive news.

Hi. I have a quesion. How old is the Police Certificate you sent to CIC today? Cos i got mine made in May just in case they ask for it so i am thinking if i will be able to use that one if they ask for it. I am Dec 8 applicant.
Thank you
My first police certificate was issued on Nov.19th 2014, and it was sent with my application on Dec.01st 2014.
I really don´t know how long is it valid, but I guess less than 1 year and they just want to make sure everything is good.
Cheers

Hello everybody!!!
Good news...
On Aug.18th CIC asked for a new police certificates from our Country, we sent it today. And today it appears "In Progress".
We applied on Dec.01st 2014. Inland, AINP.
Hope to have great news soon!
That's amazing.. Congrats.. One more step out of the way for you! ;D

I have a question for you, Chanchis. If you're inland and if you're requested to submit an updated original copy of the Police certificate from your country of origin, could you please tell us how you managed to secure one? Don't you have to personally be there to get a certificate or am I missing something? May I also know which country you are from? Thanks

I know exactly how you feel (heck, all of us here can empathize with that feeling and it can't be denied) but all I can say to that is "Stay Strong and have a bit more Patience". I know its hard but you gotta try to focus on something constructive..I always believe that things happen when the time is right ;)

At a time like this it really helps to get busy with different things so you're not actually concentrating on emails from CIC or refreshing/logging into ECAS with every single opportunity we get.. I can imagine that truly sucks the energy out of us.. So, stay cool and be positive, alright? Your time is coming :)

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone sent a request to CIC to access their GCMS Notes?

Here's the link if anyone is interested! :)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

Cost: $5
If you're Inland: You can apply directly (make sure to have a scanned copy of your permit handy)
If you're Outland: You can request your Sponsor or Representative who are living in Canada to apply on your behalf..
Processing time (for notes by Email): 30 days

Please follow the link, its pretty straight forward :)

Hi all,

I am writing from India. I got married to my husband in February 2015. At that time his medicals was done(in Nov 2014) and he was waiting for the passport call. He then added my name also along with his application as we thought it'll be easier than applying for my PR after he gets his PR.

** We added my name in March and sent all the documents by April 2015.
** We got a medical request in May.
** Medical was done by May 19th.

Do you guys know how long it will take after the medicals to get the passport call? Its been 3 months already. Still no responds from them :(

I applied for GCMS notes in May and if you are inland it is for free. It came back in exactly 30 calendar days. It was like 80 pages long.

Belated Congratulations on your wedding :)

To answer your question, no body knows the exact time frame to hear from CIC.. It's quite random & We are all on the same boat here when it comes to waiting (the only difference being that i am Inland) and you guys are NOT alone.. Just have patience, good times are just around the horizon :)

what is GCMS notes ....Now whats that ....
GCMS notes are the information about your file that CIC maintains, like a more in-depth & detailed database.. A complete step by step of what they are doing to your file, every update and modification that they do and so on... If you're curious to know what's happening to your file then you can order one.. :)
