Its my Christmas day today..its my New year's day today.. its my the only happiest day of this whole 2015 for me!!!
you know what..
I got my work permit, just came home tired and saw it..
they restored my status..they issued me work permit..and i feeeel awesome
Thank you so much guys...i got restored after 8 months!!!
how happy i will be, imagine!

Earlier they had adjudicated applications in 4-5 months of Medicals. That was correct since we all will have enough time to move/decide on things as 6 months visa period will be there. But not sure why the hold up in past 2-3 months. Hopefully there is some good news in new year for 2014 applicants.

got gcms note today. Same Eligibility, Criminal, Medical passed but security check not started yet. Dont know what is this security check and how long it will take to pass. Dec. 18 applicant waiting for DM and PPR. Anybody know how long before should I apply for my open work permit. It will expire in 5 months and i checked online that it is must to apply for extended open work permit like 6 months before expiry date!!!! Is that true ??? Should I apply now??

Where did you read the 6 month requirement

I will be applying for bowp and on website it says you can only apply within 4 months of expiry


In your gcms notes, what is the location of your file.
Also, in the paper file history section, has there been any movement in your file since mid Oct..

I read it online somewhere. So how long does it take for owp after we apply like a month? Location of my file is PV2-JAN and last update was on sep 24.

Hey guys!
I applied for my BOWP last August and I received my new work permit by regular mail in my house 4 months later ( December )
Its not big deal being without anything as you would be in implied status and totally allow to work..
The only thing is you cant leave the country...
