I was just informed that the manager that wrote one of my employment letter passed out on tuesday.. I was really shocked on receiving the news. I don't know what will happen if immigration call and ask of this person. will it have any negative impact on my application?? This same manager made a mistake on my employment start date and didn't agree to correct it, so i have to attach a written explanation notifying immigration of the wrong date and attached all my paystubs and t4s to prove the correct starting date. They will likely call this manager and i am worried..

I guess you could try to get a copy of the obituary or death certificate of your manager so CIC can verify that this event did happen so if they do call your work place, they know what had happened. If you can't provide ANY facts to VOs regarding what had happened, they're not gonna care if you're claiming whether your boss or anyone dies.

If you can provide someone else that can verify your duties and employment dates (another co-worker perhaps), I would include this in an addendum letter to your application.

I agree with seton, It is easy to find someone else who can confirm that and send them a note.
btw my sincere condolences

Thanx guys for responding. I will try to get another letter and send it with a written explanation of what happened. I won't be bordering getting the death certificate because that doesn't have anything to do with me ( manager is neither my spouse nor child). Another letter will be fine but i dont know whether to send it now or wait for my aor. pls respond

Wait for AOR, you will receive mailing instructions to submit new documentation.

Thanx Rosty2 :)

If his family put his obituary in the newspaper, you can get a copy by putting his name in google.
