Hello everyone,

I submitted my file on aug 4th.
Fsw inland.

I work as a store manager for an upscale men's clothing store.
Prior to that i was assistant manager for the same store.

My concern is who do the officers call for background check.
Along with my employment reference number i provided my previous manager's and regional manager's business card. Because they are the one who signed respective refrence letters.

But my basic employment letter that has remuneration details has payroll representative number.
I am not in good terms with my human resource manager as i had an argument with her regarding my employment refrence letter.

It's a massive and one of the oldest men's clothing company.
Also my regional manager is pioneer in retail industry.

If they call my regional manager I'll be fine but if they ask for my human resource manager, it could be trouble.
Infact if they call anyone other than my HR manager I'll be fine.

Does anyone have an idea that who do they actually contact.
I have provided all my pay stubs and employment contract
Please advise

It could go either way I think, most probably though they'd call the number mentioned on the letterhead and ask for someone from HR.

Two things to note though. They don't do employment checks for all applications, and in the off chance you get checked, it's unlikely anyone would say anything that would affect you in a negative way, especially since all what CIC would be interested in is verifying what is there already in the letter (employment duration, pay, duties etc).
