Hello. I would be so grateful if you could answer this question for me please guys. I am so confused about the conditional PR. CIC says that people will only get conditional PR if they have not been married for more than 2 years AND have no kids in common.
My wife and I have been married for 2 years and 3 months but have no children together.
Would she still get a conditional PR? Considering we have been married for 2 years and 3 months but have no children? Or does CIC mean we have to be both married for over 2 years and ALSO have a child together?
I'm asking because once she gets her PR and moves to Canada, I may take on a couple of temporary international work contracts that she would prefer not to join me on. So having conditional PR would determine if I could go on these work assignments alone or if I would have to bring her with me to fulfil conditional PR requirements i.e. living together for 2 years. Would appreciate any answers!
