Hi Everyone,

I came to Canada as student and graduated last year. I just had one year Post-grade work permit, which ends by June 6, 2017. I got my first job in Canada by December, 2016. Right now, I'm in a situation to extend my stay in Canada. I heard some people saying I need an LMIA to extend my stay, In other words to get a Closed-Work Permit. Whereas other group of people say I just need a job offer to extend my stay and LMIA is not required. I need a better direction on this.

If you need any other information to address my situation, Please let me know.

Thanks in Advance!!!

DO you have a pending PR application? Or have you applied to any of the PNP programs? If not then yes you do need a LMIA to extend your work permit.

Hi,

I have created a PR profile and waiting for my WES evaluation. Once I get that I'll submit my PR application within a month. So, what its going to be, If I have a PR profile submitted by mid of February?

1. You will need a LMIA to get a new work permit, the bridging work permit is only available to applicants under EE who have submitted an application after receiving an ITA.
