Good day, folks.
I couldn't find an exact answer for my situation, so I’d really appreciate any advice:
My position require LMIA, but province support made me LMIA exempt. In this situation, does my employer need to pay the employer compliance fee when I apply to extend my CWP?
I couldn't find an exact answer for my situation, so I’d really appreciate any advice:
- My employer obtained an LMIA and brought me to Canada under TFWP. I've been employed since 2023 on an employer-specific closed work permit.
- I received a non-Express Entry OINP nomination and applied for PR at the end of 2023.
- My PR application is still in process, and now I need to extend my closed work permit.
- I requested an updated provincial support letter, and it states that I do not need an LMIA because I have provincial nomination support.
