I went to pick up the card in sept 2012.The officer was not satisfied with my answers. He said there will another interview and I will get a letter

In dec 2012....my file was transferred to local cic office(London)
In may 2013 i got a letter saying that an investigation is being done on my case and they told me to send the documents proving my residency
I sent the docs

In aug 2013...my ecas said.....we returned ur file to CPC. T
hey will process it in normal service period. I called the call the centre and they said my card has been sent for production

Now in Nov 2013...my ecas says.....ur card will be mailed or if QA is required it will be available for you to pick up

My question is...this time will they mail me or tell me to pick it up

I am on social assistance(ODSP) with a part time job. Will that be a problem

I have hired a lawyer. Can I take the lawyer if they tell me to pick up the card(interview)

I am frustrated of the long wait. i am very worried. Please advise

The 'card will be mailed or pick up for QA' is now the standard ecas notice for all completed PR Cards. Given you already went the interview route and CIC are now ok with your residency it should come in the mail. Give it 4 weeks from the completed date. Even if they ask you to pick up and go to CIC a second time you have to - its operational policy. If you are unhappy about this then you can always take it to the courts but you won't get far because your application hasn't been denied now has it? If its a consolation some Citizenship applicants are waiting 4 years for their oath from application date so don't stress on this.

can i take a laywer for PR card pick up

Hi,
My question is can I take a lawyer for PR card pick up. Will that be an issue
Another question is ....I am on social assistance(ODSP).Will that be a problem

1. Sure you can take your lawyer but don't expect CIC to agree to his participation or inquiries in a legal manner since its not a court environment.

2. Being on ODSP is not an issue in itself unless you were not entitled to it by virtue of not meeting any residence requirements as reflected say by stamps in your travel documents and CIC pass on this info onto the Ministry.

Out of curiosity why take a lawyer and why think ODSP is an issue?
