pictures came back

Hi,

I need your opinions.

Berlin started processing my file on January 11, 2010.
On January 13 they put all of my pictures (the ones to proof the relationship) in an envelope and sent them registered back to me here in Canada. I have just received them. There is no letter or anything else that came with them.

What does that mean?

That they no longer need your pictures. I received all of my pictures back in October and in November they requested my passport to issue the permanent visa.

Usually, that means they have reviewed your evidence to prove your relationship is genuine and have decided that it is indeed genuine. And now, because they don't need them anymore, they are sending them back.
It's in no way a guarantee of anything, but usually a good sign

What made me nervous was that they sent the pictures back after only two days.
But if you guys think this is normal then I will think this too. ;-)

Well, if you think about it, how long does it take to decide that the relationship is genuine? If you submit enough proof, then all they have to do is look over it once and they know you're for real It's not like they spent days upon days studying your phone bills, chat logs, pictures or anything else you sent.
