Mm ok…thnks naturgrl. But iam realy confused in selecting noc. Iam not trying for 3131 cz of xam, but as 3219(as no need license). But the issue is my current employer will giv exp letter only as Pharmacist duties and responsibility. When i chkd duties of 3219 frm canada.ca, oly 50% matches to what i do now

Your job letter must match the NOC so only 50% is not a match. You need to focus on EE if 3131 is your NOC. SINP knows that applicants are pharmacists (by degree) and trying to get approved with another NOC. Has 3219 ever been selected in a draw?

In SINP, which is on more demand now: 3131 (pharmacist) or 3219 (pharmacy technician/pharmacy technical assistant)??
There is a surplus of pharmacists in most of Canada which is why you are unlikely to see pharmacists on the list of professions for PNPs. As a pharmacist you can’t apply as a pharmacy tech.

I dont want to use 3131 cz pebc very tough, instead interested to go with 3219 via SINP. For EE i have very low score(349).
Job resposibilties which iam doin now(Pharmacist) can match 70% of 3219 (Pharmacy technical assistant), but the issue is, when iam comparing ONLY those 6 points(job responsibility of 3219) mentioned in canada.ca, it matches just 50%. There are lot more jobs and responsibilities (which matches with 3131) that is NOT mentioned in that site under 3219. So am I still eligible to go with 3219 under SINP using current experience letter (Pharmacist)??

What is your SINP score? SINP is very strict and will know that you have a pharmacy degree and pharmacist isn’t eligible so trying to immigrate with 3219 which only requires college education. SINP is very clear that your education must match your NOC.

62 is low. You will not get an invitation with that score…being honest. Hasn’t ever been below 65 and that was for trades.

Doesn’t matter what your score is. The fact that you are a pharmacist and have a pharmacy degree makes selecting NOC3219 impossible.

Thnks for the reply
Have you researched job opportunities for pharmacists in Canada? There is a lot of incorrect information online with highly inflated salaries. Due to a surplus of pharmacists salaries have been decreasing in most regions over the past 10+ years and many pharmacists are working part-time at a few pharmacies without benefits.

Copied from EE Pharmacists group on Telegram:
I beg to differ with your viewpoint. Even before COVID-19, pharmacists were not in surplus in Canada. The problem used to be that pharmacists were congested in a particular place ( Greater Toronto Area) while the rural areas lacked enough pharmacists.

With the advent of COVID, there is a huge need of pharmacists almost everywhere in Canada to the point that they were issuing emergency pharmacist license to some candidates who had not completed all the PEBC exams.

That been said, pharmacist licensing process is one that takes time so even if province make pharmacy an eligible occupation, the province will not benefit directly since it will take time for the candidate to get license. The same is true for medical doctors. Doctors are not on any PNP list but that does not make them surplus. I know people who have to wait for several months to get a family doctor and a visit to the emergency can take up to 8 hour stay. It is just the licensing procedure that is complicated.

If anyone is able to complete the PEBC exams, I know they can get Manitoba PNP easily because the province gives additional points for someone who has the Manitoba college of pharmacists license.
