I am new here and would greatly appreciate your advice on this so I can finalize the application package to sponsor my dad:

He lives in China and took the required (2) photos earlier this month that are now being couriered to me via DHL. The photography studio stamped their name and wrote the address at the back of the photo but they were in Chinese. Do I need to get a certified translation here once I receive these photos OR that I can translate the name and addresses myself?

I am not sure if the photos would be considered "documents not in English/French" that needs to follow the translation requirement.

Thank you very much for your help in advance!
It is not necessary to certified it.

on the back,
name, DOB.
picture date and studio name/address. (They are caring about whether the pic are taken by studio or not. No worry for the studio's Chinese characters...)

Any other answer?

They asked for CV in my case.
My imm5669 are listed the latest 10 years for my parents.

Hello folks, Canada Post delivered the package yesterday but I don't expect an update so soon. However, those of you who have already received AOR, can you please confirm if the AOR email was received at the sponsor's (you) email address or the primary applicant's (your parent) email address?

hey members,

I'm just finishing up the application and I'm wondering about the name discrepancy for my co signer. His passport does not list his middle name. Becuase of that the middle name is not to be included in the Application to sponsor (IMM1344) but it seems to me (based on the guide) that I should include the middle name in the Financial evaluation (IMM5768). is that correct? the financial evaluation does not say the name has to be exactly as on the passport, please give me some tips! thank you

In my experience, a good thumb rule to follow across all official immigration related documents is to always follow the name as mentioned in your passport.

Hey Members,

I see that the checklist needs to be signed by sponsor as per the guide, but I dont see any place on it to sign. Any ideas or am I missing something?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5772-application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html

The following forms are to be completed, signed and submitted by the sponsor:

There is no place to sign but to be safe than sorry, I just signed and dated it at the bottom of the page where the checklist ends (just before the CPC address).
