Hello All! Could please help me on this?

My husband who is a Permanent resident in Canada , Can take me there as a dependent ?.
If so, would it be possible for me to get a Spousal Open Work Permit.
 
Your husband will have to sponosor you for PR if you wish to live in Canada.

You do not qualify for a spousal open work permit. These work permits are only available to spouses of certain categories of foreign workers in Canada.
 
Thank you ! But my Husband is in India right now and we got married a month ago . Would it be fine if he go ahead for my PR sponsorship application now (ie from Outside canada) ?
If so what would be the approxiamte time for me to this approval ? Our concern is we do not want stay away from each other for a long time as we knw PR is a lengthy process
 
No - he cannot sponsor you from India. Since he is a PR, he must be living in Canada in order to sponsor you.
