Hi everyone!

I have one questions that I can hope someone here can help me with.

I am going to apply to Permanent Residence via sponsorship, since my common-law is Canadian. I am going to apply out-land although I am currently working in Quebec, because the processing times for Spanish people are quicker this way.

My question is: Do I have to do a french exam for this? I thought that the french exam was only for people who were applying through PEQ. Is this correct?

Thank you very much!

No language test is required if you are applying for PR via spousal sponsorship.

Scylla, one more question (sorry!). Do I have to add a photocopy of my birth certificate with my application? or wth my passport and I.D. is enough?

Thanks a lot!

Pretty sure a copy of your birth certificate is required - but I don't remember for certain. If you follow the overall document checklist + the country specific checklist - you'll be fine.

I just double checked with a friend and yes! it si required! thanks a lot again scylla. Have a good night :)
