Unlike SPP, PEQ is not college specific.

There are points for diploma, degrees from Quebec. Most important pre-requisite for PEQ as student is Intermediate french level qualification (as advised above)

After B Comm going for a diploma course (undergrad level) is negative for visa.

For PEQ there's no point system for CSQ (you just need to fulfill eligibility). PR after CSQ is 12-16 months process and involves federal security checks and medical only
(no point system as Quebec has already accepted you).

Good Luck.

Intermediate french is not an issue.
DELF B1/ B2 certificate will do right?

If not diploma then which degree should be opted after BCom?
Looking for not too expensive study. Main motive is PR. So a cost effective program eligible for CSQ & acceptable for Visa is what I am looking for.

Thanks

Out of all the provinces Quebec is least expensive for International student fees. Good Luck

Immigration Quebec has a website which lists which French Language tests are acceptable. I think DELF B2 with 16/25 at least in each section is required

Quebec colleges(Cégep's) do not have PG diplomas

Universities mostly accept 4 year degrees and I'm guessing your B.Com is a 3 year degree.

Also, by the time you graduate, your test results will be more than 2 years old making them ineligible.

So you have several factors to think about before considering this option

Check out this link for more information:

Okay so lemme break it down for you piece by piece:

1.) I didn't even know Quebec colleges participated in SPP, must be a new thing so you will have to confirm that, or you could be wrong too and visa for these colleges would be under general category only.

2.) Majority of the list below offer undergraduate and/or vocational diploma courses that too mostly in French. So a sure shot study permit rejection for a holder of a bachelor's degree.

3.) For 3 year B.Com degrees, you'll have to speak to universities in Quebec which would accept you into a master's program or a graduate diploma.

4.) Coming to this line "These colleges are / not eligible for quebec experience class of PR", it's clear you haven't gone through the link I shared well enough. So do your own research too otherwise you won't understand it. I've spent hours on that website and so have others who understand it. PEQ does not have anything to do with the college. Cannot spoon feed it since it's not 2 lines of rules.

Very well said, Harvijay. Couldn't agree more. Infact I need to divert my time spent on this forum to some other constructive activity. Although, I have met some excellent members like you here. Cheers.

@Gymguy - yes please go ahead with your constructive work as volunteering on this platform and providing truthful guidance to unknown people on this forum is something which really requires a lot of will, patience & effort which not everybody likes to do.
Thank you once again for all your help & May God bless you.

Study permit will not be rejected if the Bachelors degree holder goes for a higher study program.

Yes, I will have to.

I understand its not easy for you to tell all the rules in one go or make me understand. Thank you for your time & advice once again.
