My PR process is pending, I have a PER, but we are waiting on some other documents to furnish to CIC. Meanwhile I have a need to go and meet my friend in Canada, hence looking to apply for a TRV to get it soon. My total visit in Canada will be 2-3 days.
I'm currently in US and plan to drive to Ontario, so no specific return flights or a finalized plan yet,
Q1 . – Is it OK to file for a TRV for a short while, may be a week only? I’ve requested my friend to send me an Invitation letter (notarized) along with a copy of his PR card.
Q2. – I’m going to mention my UCI # in the application and will request CIC to review my Medical records based on that UCI, since they have already been submitted to them, is that OK?
Q3 . – As of now, I do not have definite travel plans and no plan tickets, I might travel by road and come back the same way. Is that OK to submit a declaration like that? Or any issues with it?

Anything else I should be cautious about?

Where do people get this "notarized" idea from? I have always wondered....

Anyway, yes you can requested based on your needs.

CIC doesn't do "requests". Your UCI is a most if you have one.

Yup, just be honest.

this URL talks about getting it notarized.

Also, can you elaborate your statement - "Your UCI is a most if you have one."

It clearly states "notarized, if the visa office asks for that".... I was in the understanding that US VAC's didn't ask for that....

There is nothing to elaborate about.... if you do have an UCI then you are expected to annotate it, if not.... no.

Got the visa approval, with a breeze, no issues... I just need to send my PP now.
