Hello everybody,

Well, after a long battle to get all our papers done we are ready to submit our application. We got the pink forms (Fees Receipt (IMM 5401) ) that I ordered a couple of months ago to pay for our fees, since they aren't accepting credit cards atm. I just want to make sure how to do it, does the pink receipt counts as a Certified cheque, bank draft or money order? What should I put on the FEE PAYMENT FORM - APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE? We know it's $550 per person, but we are not sure what to put in the method of payment...

Also I put Centralized Intake Office on the Generic Application form since it doesn't let me type more, is that ok? Should I put CEC?

I know the address I need to send the papers is:

Citizenship & Immigration Canada
Canadian Experience Class
Centralized Intake Office
P.O. Box 4000
Sydney, NS
B1P 1J3
Canada

I also got confused regarding notarizing papers? it doesn't say in the list, but I was told that the birth certificates copies should be notarized? We are going to get our new common-law form since the last one we did was from 2012, I was recommended to do it since the other one is quite old. So if it's needed to notarized the birth certificate copies we will do it tomorrow.

The Fee payment form for CEC application is IMM5620E. For CEC, The immigration office is CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia.

Birth Certificate need not be notarized if its in English or French. If you are translating from your native language, you need a original copy of translation along with a certified true copy of the original(notarized)

Thanks for your response, I will check that tomorrow morning.

Just a quick question, Is it the same as the one in form IMM0008? I put in question 4. Immigration Office requested for processing this application: Centralized Intake Office CEC.
Is that ok?

For Visa office, you can write CPC-Ottawa.

Since all CEC applications are processed there.

Their website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp

When I sent IMM5620 I received the following email from CPC-O

Please be advised that we have received documents to add your child to the application. We have issued the medical forms. Please advised us if you do not receive it within the next 48 hours via e-mail. Please be advised that CPCO does not accept payments via IMM5620. Please pay processing fee for your son either online or at the financial institutions. Please see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

I believe he is talking about the forms that you can order from CIC. It takes few weeks to arrive.

Exactly those ones, I ask for them online since there is a part on the fee payment option that goes like this:

Payment method options

Complete the Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence (IMM 5620) and include it with your application to the CIO. On-line payments are not accepted by the CIO. In Canadian funds only, you may pay by certified cheque, bank draft or money order made payable to the “Receiver General for Canada.” or with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

If there is no expiry date on your certified cheque, money order or bank draft and it is drawn on a foreign bank, it can only be cashed for 6 months from the date of issue. To ensure it can still be cashed when the fee payment is processed at the CIO, it must be issued no more than 30 days before you send your application to the CIO.

Obtaining an original receipt form–Inside Canada

You may obtain an original receipt form (IMM 5401) by ordering through our website.

Payment of fees using the Fee Payment Form

Complete the Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence (IMM 5620) and include it with your application to the CIO.

In Canadian funds only, you may pay

by certified cheque, bank draft or money order made payable to the “Receiver General for Canada”, or
with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

Note: Certified cheques, bank drafts and money orders may have expiry dates. When you submit your application to the CIO, the expiry date must be at least (5) five months into the future.

If there is no expiry date on your certified cheque, money order or bank draft and it is drawn from a foreign bank, it can only be cashed up to six (6) months from the date of issue. To ensure it can still be cashed when the fee payment is processed at the CIO, it must be issued no more than 30 days before you send your application to the CIO.

That is why I was confused, because I got them and then what? just go to the bank with the IMM620 and the fee payment form and pay like that? send the receipt I am going to get from the form and attached to the IMM620?

They are accepting credit card details on the fee payment form.

What they are not accepting, is the 'online payment' option where you pay online with a credit card, get a receipt, and send that receipt to CIC.
