Passport renewal

Hi,
I am an Indian citizen, got my ICT work permit and landed in Toronto in Nov from US.
My Passport is going to expire in Aug 2016. however, my Work permit is provided till the 2017 Oct.

I am planning to renew my passport. do i need to get a new work permit again?
