So excited this afternoon when I came back from work as there was an e-mail from London LVO asking me for a photocopy of my passport. I only did the medical at the beginning of December so wasn't expecting passport so quickly! I also got a brochure from Canadian Affair today with special flight offers if booked by January so I may be able to take advantage of this now as I expect I will have my COPR by end of January. My status still shows as "In Process" on ECAS so for those worried about their status, they obviously don't keep the ECAS system bang up to date.

I hope for all those of you who are waiting to have your own parents with you soon that the New Year will see a joyful reunion. It has been a long wait for me from 29th April 2008 when my daughter first submitted the forms but I know lots of you have been waiting even longer. Happy New Year to everyone when it comes.

i send the enquiry to case specific e-mail for new delhi i confirm with doctor and got reply that they send on 14 dec so i have no clue what they doing . I think the visa officer must have some responsibilite to reply back i send 5 enquiry still no answer so worry start again

Now the hard work begins for me with the landing, probably in April and then coming back to Scotland to try and sell my house before settling finally in Canada with my family hopefully by end of 2013 which I am sure will be a lucky year for all our lovely forum members.

Thanks kandel, I hope so....actually I think I should have send e-mail to ND stating the date when Dr. Send our meds.. U knw Delhi office called my parents 2 weeks after the documents were sent (docs sent on Nov 24) to knw if da meds were done and when. Whats ur advise....

i think in 2 weeks you can check my recent post in the month of may so you must go through that

Gaggi i would say wait until after all these holidays...even though ND office was not close for two weeks but still may be the officer who is working on your file is not there(visa office) until new year!! :-\

hi kandel every time our visa officer on file are either on holiday or they put our file in waiting list so frustrated with this.

I have posted a few times about my situation but seems like noone has replied. Could you please share your thoughts on my case as read below?

I am in a situation where PPR request is being very late compared to other members. As of early Nov, the ecas changed to decision made (Ottawa office), but since then no further action. On Nov 13th, my lawyer sent email to Ottawa office asking updates on the file but no response to that email either. What should I do at this point? Any suggestions please?

Congratulations. We got our COPR at the end of November. We'll land at the end of January and like you will be hoping that when we come back briefly in May we will have sold our house and be ready to move permanently. Good luck with the final steps. Hi Nanapush, Thank you for your good wishes. Can I ask what you signed the back of the visa photos with as they have said don't use a ball point pen? Would a pencil be ok? Why has everything got to be so complicated with the CIC's :-[

You will be counting down the days now till you land, I expect.
Are you preparing a Goods to Follow list to present to immigration when you land?
This will be quite hard to do as it is difficult to estimate how many boxes of clothing, books etc there will be until you actually get a shipping company in to view your goods. I suppose all we can do is wildly over estimate on our Goods to Follow list so that no import tax will be incurred at a later date.

There are several other applicants who are in similar situation as you. None of us knows how exactly the CIC processes the files at different stages. Hopefully, you and everyone else will hear from CPP-O or LVO soon.

Which country are your parents from? Do you have correspondence and residence address for your parents in Canada or outside Canada? In any case, since you have a lawyer, CPP-O, most likely, will also communicate with your lawyer.

You can also try to request status of your parents Application under Access to Information and Privacy Act. A new form introduced by CIC is available (see link below). Usually it takes 30 days but if you request just Status of Application it might be quicker.

Hey sonu no i wont suggest you to send an email to ND rather call your Dr. to make sure they mailed your medicals thats it.
My thinking is we should not bother them too much....cuz they will take out our file from line to investigate our request that can delay our case, whereas now your turn could be anyday. =)
