Thanks Andrei, I hope so.
I saw that you also sent the payment reciept by email. Did you also mailed a hard copy to them? Is just sending by email enough?
I mailed also a hard copy to them too.

Hope most of the target for next year is allocated to poor LVO's, which are lacking way behind :/..

Now this really pisses me off.
We received a letter from Delhi LVO to "ask your sponsor to deposit Landing fee & sumbit proof of payment via email to 'CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca'.

So I made on-line payment and sent the receipt to the email that was provioded in the letter.
Now today when I called up CIC call centre they said that there is no procedure to email payment receipts and that I need to fax it to them and that they have no record of payment.

Its been 4 weeks since I made the payment, we could have got the Visa by now.....CIC needs to get better organised.
>:(

Fax Delhi with proof and reply, they will reply to u by email

Put file # and urgent in subject

Rebel and Atul i really hope you guys get visa before your medical expires....its not fun

Same thing happened to us 2 weeks ago but the fee was paid 10 months ago, so I submitted again the proof of payment via emails to 'CPCM-EXTCOM @ cic.gc.ca' and Ottawa, I sent them also a fax to Ottawa and a registered mail to Mississauga, but after 1 week I got PPR.
So think positive, your wait is almost over.

these reducing backlog is only in newspapers ,Mr. kenney last year promise to give visa to 35000 under parents catogery and i dont think canada issue visa to 350000 under parents catogery,even i dont think ND LVO issued his 6500 quota this year ,if they issue visa to 6500 persons why the inventory still show same under last release ,they just trasferred 1 month files from from july to aug 2007 in 2010 ,how can it be possible for such backlog ,if they didnt tranfer just one month file in the whole year . last year Mr kenney said they will open parents applications in nov 2013 after 2 yrs pause ,now he is saying parents application will not start until 2014 ,they did survey in last july for change in parents application ,how we can improve it and we will tell result of this survey in falls ,now fall is over nothing is release abt that survey,they r making peoples fool in papers

Veeru you are right...and i personally check yours and sonu86's timeline for any updates. within 2 months it will be 1 year since your file went to ND cuz only after yours my turn will come. and i m 8-9 months behind you.

Hello, I was also told to submit landing fee which was already deposited last year. Recently we sent copy to mississauga office and ND office. Mississauga office told me to call after 2-3 weeks for confirmation of the receipt. But next day I checked status of our file. Decision was made. You can check with Mississauga office as well. Depend on who you talk to some time you may get the right person.

Our case is also in LVO ISD.....we received letter from ISD mentioning that "submit the below documents if not submitted earlier". I sent them the additional documents which were note submitted earlier (PCC, Supplementary information form etc.) and explains them that other documents were submitted in March 2012. I submitted cpies of all documents alongwith cover letter which were submitted in March 2012. No news from LVO affter submission of documents in September.
Have any one received any letter from LVO ISD after submission of PCC?
Regards,
RR

Hello everyone. I was following this website from last 6 months. I just wanted to congratulations to all who received their visas and good luck to who are still waiting. I want to share with you that my family - application started in July 2005 go their visa on Nov 5, 2012. Also my in laws family - application started June 2005 received visa on the Nov 5, 2012. So ND is sending out visas now.
However they spelled my mother's first name wrong on the visa and we dont know how quick that can be fixed because their visa is expired first week of December. Can anyone help ?

Thanks and all the best.

Don't worry, I had experience with this. Just land & update CIC officer about the correction. If you forget that also, next go to Border & check with CBP, he can place stop & redo your landing. (I had experience with this as well). But if you contact him within 24hrs landing otherwise landing docs from Airport is mailed to CIC for PR card printing.

If you fail that as well or cannot go to border, then fill out.
Here is CIC response I got for this.

Sir, Madam,

Thank you for contacting Citizenship and Immigration Canada. I am pleased to follow up on your request:
Amendment necessary – Permanent Resident Card and Record of Landing/Confirmation of Permanent Residence
If:
• the error on your Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) is also on your Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292 or IMM 5688); and
• the information in the passport that you used when you became a permanent resident is correct.
Then you must:
• Send a Request to amend the immigration record of landing or confirmation of permanent residence (IMM 5218) to have the error corrected. The application is available on our Web site. You can fill out the application on-line and print it or fill it out by hand.
• Send an Application to Reissue a Permanent Resident Card (IMM 5530), once you receive the letter saying that the correction is accepted.
o Make sure to include:
 a photocopy of your IMM 1000 or IMM 5292 or IMM 5688;
 a photocopy of the letter saying that the correction is accepted; and
 your PR card.
You will receive your new PR card four to six weeks following the day we receive the IMM 5530. If your current PR Card expires during the amendment process, a new PR Card application must be submitted with the applicable fees.

Name Change - Permanent Resident Card Application
If you legally changed your name and you want your new name to be on your Permanent Resident Card, you must send an Application for a Permanent Resident Card to the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Make sure to include certified copies of documents that support your name change, such as:
• a legal change of name document;
• an adoption document; or
• a marriage certificate or divorce document (court document) indicating the new name;
and
• a certified copy of one piece of provincial identification, such as a health card or a driver’s license, with your new name.

Best Suggestion to Everyone....... If your file has been transferred to New Delhi office, Weather they have asked or not to submit documents again, just send them a copy of paid receipt, If you have ordered CAIPS NOTES(Paper Copy) send them a copy of CAIPS NOTES as well. CAIPS NOTE(PAPER COPY) has all the documents that they are asking you to resubmit...... Just a thought, you can send both files and save yourself a time.... this way you are one step ahead of the game...... Most likely they are spending time by asking us to submit documents all over again...... Don't forget to send an e-mail with your file no, client id, and Name of Applicant........

Same here Rebel and Atul. But did I read somewhere that there is now a mechanism for extending the validity of medicals to allow extra time for landing? I'm not sure where I saw it.
