I think he will start the new program that will require to charge upfront fee of about $40,000 per parent for the health coverage as health coverage is the biggest concern he has with the older parents.

I have a similar feeling. But they may put exception to maybe 5000 PR/yr that do not require it. Also will implement limit on # of PR can be accepted.

I have stopped expecting :(

According to other posters timeline, I should have received meds and PPR sometime in mid-October and then I see some other folks before me so I am just 8)

I am from 2007 & case is in CPC-O, no PPR here either so I don't think you expect anything soon unless you get lucky.

Our medical expire on Dec 22nd....worried!!

But I have heard of cases where Delhi Office has called people up on phone to collect their passport 3-4 days before medical expire and ask them to land in Canada in next 2 days.
Hoping we get a little more time thne just 2-3 days.

So ND is sending out visas now.
However they spelled my mother's first name wrong on the visa and we dont know how quick that can be fixed because their visa is expired first week of December. Can anyone help ?

I think Your mother should go to Canadian Embassy in New Delhi Personally with some proof of her actual name spellings. If you have copy of the forms that you submitted to embassy, Take that too and ask them to fix it. They are pretty quick to fix the errors and may be if she goes personally,They can fix right away or at the most by 7-10 days.

First of all, congrats that after a long wait, your application was finally finalised!

If there are any mistakes on the Landing Papers, if there is no time to get it rectified at the LVO, it can be done at the time of landing. Just point it out to the concerned immigration official and they would make corrections on both copies of the landing papers (their's as well as yours). Usually visas are issued exactly the way it is spelt in the applicant's passport. Double check your mother's passport to see if the same is incorrect too.

You can't trust ND visa office. They put a wrong photo on one the visa of my friend's Dad and they got it fixed from ND in about 10 days.

Hey Gaggi Did you ask your lawyer about any updates? HE has any idea about when will we get the medical request?

Hi everyone, I avidly read all the postings and can sympathise with those, like myself, who have been waiting over 4 years for PR.
Is anyone else dealing with London as LVO ? My daughter was approved to sponsor me 16th Feb 2012 and file was sent to Ottawa who then passed it to London on 16th May 2012 but since then I have heard nothing. I did send an e-mail asking when I could expect to be sent for a medical but the automated reply came back which just said refer to processing times on website. The London office shows 38 months for parents/ grandparents processing. Surely I won't have to wait another 3 years!!! Mine is a very straightforward case with no other family members involved.

Thanks
