@ nanapush & user828;

I think the issue is that they do this in batches. They basically put everyone in the same bucket regardless of when they applied. (Sept 2007 to Feb 2009.)
I am part of the second batch, that's why I think my medical request came earlier than yours - as second batch deals with less #.
Also, I wonder it could be based on the country where your parents are, looking at Teri's case. I'm from one of the low-application countries, so it could be why.

Anyhow, there's no doubt that you will get Visa request earlier than mine. =)
Hope everything goes smoothly for us!

My husband and I are the applicants and are from the UK ,also a low application country. Our daughter is our sponsor. Ironically the fastest moving PR was from London where ours would normally have been processed but our file is in Ottowa which was meant to be quicker processing for uncomplicated cases. The London case I refer to was finalised only 3 weeks after medicals were sent. It is impossible to second guess who will be next based on when applications were sent and when files were transferred as every case seems to have it's own unique timeline and we all must wait patiently. I feel for those who applied in 2007 as they have had the longest wait and some have not got as far as us. Good luck to you .

for me, It will be Christmas the day they get the PR

We applied a whole year before you and it took 11 weeks from file transfer April 18th 2012 to medical request. It demonstrates how it seems to totally depend who gets hold of your file as to how quickly you get processed so who knows who will get their visas first ,certainly not in original order of application as they first suggested.
Good luck to everyone!

Thank you, nanapush! My dad's application was transferred to my LVO. And before we received bunch of request (PPR, medicals, additional docs) from my LVO, I felt that we are treated unfairly. Because there are thousands of applicants behind us who got visas and soonest requests from LVO. I just realized, though, that most of them are affected by calamities and others responded to the November 2011 requests earlier than me. And I remember that it was a first come first serve system. When transferred to LVO is also the same. My LVO has started processing my dad's application on August 3 which is about 45 days after the date of the requests they sent to me (authorized representative). Based on other members from my home country, the current processing is back to what they call "routine service" after the applicants completed the LVO's requests. It still depends on the officer/LVO who is working on the application and the documents he/she received. I am praying for my dad's immigration officer that he/she will have good health, wisdom, and peace of mind while working on my dad's application and that may he/she grant my dad and 3 dependents the PR visas! Good luck to you too, nanapush!

no - in our case they asked for new x-ray done 3 months after the first one + the test that requires 6-8 weeks to complete... can not be done in 30 days...

Thank you Shuga. I sent you a PM with further questions.

Hi user828,

I have to correct something from my posts here. I mentioned that my first post here was in July, but I remember it was in March actually. And I incorrectly typed December 2007 for my date of application. I sent it on August 2008, but got the confirmation letter on December 2008 and they used December 19, 2008 on my e-cas and correspondence.

We went through this before that there is no real trend of why files go to LVO vs CPP-O etc. But I can tell so far that when it's going to New Delhi, passport request and meds are being requested after 6 months and I am seeing this with at least 2-3 users. As with CPP-O, they requested PCC and Meds within 1 month and this created a stir but now CPP-O files have to go to LVO for passport request so who knows who got 1st etc

Thats true but i want to add more info to your post...passport and medical is requested after 6 months in New Delhi LVO from only those applicants who doesnt have any dependants plus most files without dependants are in CPP-O. So even if your file went to LVO you'll still get priority over applicants with dependants. Applicants (with dependants) whose files were transfered to New Delhi LVO in january 2012 have not received any medical req or passport req so far. If anyone with dependants receives medical in coming future dont forget to let us know here cuz that will make my day :)

The 2-3 I have seen don't have dependents ( my case as well ) - and their files xfered in Jan/Feb to ND. Look at singhx ( jan 25th ) and rick007 ( 10th feb ) in the google sheet. I feel files with dependents will take longer ( more work required or something )

Do you know if anyone else got medical request from ND LVO?
