seems like everyone is getting to the next step! Congrats!

I'm still waiting for them to request medicals............ Long Process. So Frustrating

We also received medicals and are very happy.
I have couple of questions:

1. The letter states that if the Police clearance certificate on file is more then a year old then we need to send a new one. Our PCC still have about 3 weeks left on them. Should I arrange to get my parents a new PCC ?

2. Good panel physician doctor in New Delhi. Does any one know how is Malkit Law? I read few negative opinion about her rude behavior. what about Max MedCenter or a specific doctor there? Any suggestions

I can only answer the first one, get a new PCC.

Yeah it does make sense to get a new one. But I hate sending my parents there because of huge wait and jam packed crowd. Before you could send a rep and get it done on your behalf. now the actual person has to go to passport office for the service.

Called Delhi today, the operator said that all i can do is pretty much just wait for the passport to show up.

Anyone care to share their experience and/or a better way to get their attention.

Hi everyone,

I have a question. My sister has sponsored my parents in march 2010. We have not received any letter since initial acknowledgement letter. I want to know for how long my sister and her husband need to maintain that mandatory income figure. They were fine for the last 4 years but not sure about current year. Do they check income until they transfer file out from mississauga or they check in home country too before issuing visa....???

If its not approved then definitely yes

Nice to hear people getting updates from their lvo's.

As for us, we're still waiting for medical request from our lvo. Not sure how long it will take. Website mentions 51 months, which is really long.

Yeah thats what I am going to do. r u from Delhi?

It looks like there's no Delhiite on this forum that can shed light on doctors from there.

So my nightmare continues as well...here is the latest.

I got reply from MP office, who actually forwarded the email from Delhi consulate about query on my parents case. The email from Delhi says exactly "Please be advised that this application was refused on May 23." It nearly gave me a panic attack.

Then I realized the file number in the subject of the email is not mine, although body of email has the correct file name. Called MP office and they said maybe they (MP office) made a typo and Delhi consulate just replied based on the wrong file name in subject line and didn't look into the body of email, so they are re-sending the email with correct file name.

Just to recap on my case, I applied in Oct 2007 and as per GCMS notes my file is ready for visa since Oct 2012 (from Ottawa pilot project) and all checks including medical, security etc are passed. Waiting to get passports back since Oct 2012.
