Hi, i am new on this forum.We applied for family sponsorship in 2008.. The application include Me(Dependent), My dad and my mother.. We received a letter that our file has been transferred to CHC-Islamabad on 1st week of july. After that we didn't receive any update from CHC-Islambad. My timeline is as follows:


Applied: Aug 2008.
AOR received: July,2009.
Additional Document Request: Nov,2011.
File Transferred to Islamabad: July,2012.

Could any bodytell me , whats next now? Three months have already passed and we didnt get any update from CHC side .. I hope we receive the Medical request soon in sha ALLAH.. Really tired of waiting now :/..

Hello Hira,
You will be getting letter from CHC Islamabad in 2-3 weeks as my parents received letter for PCC, supplementary information form, educational documents, etc.......and IMM008, ImMM 5406 and IMM5469 if not submitted earlier. My file was transferred in june and we received letter from CHC ISD in second week of September.

Thanks for replying.. We had submitted the forms immediately with all the required documents(Birth certificate, Police certificate and edcuational documents etc) after we got the request for additional documents. Hope to receive a letter from them soon in sha ALLAH! Fingers crossed! :

Too smart.....have you submitted supplementary information form as well? You all documents submitted when they requested in Nov 25, 2011 or you received a letter from CHC ISD for application received and requesting additional documents?

What do u mean by supplementry information? :/.. we initially received a request for additional documents on Nov,2011. We filled in all the forms (the IMM one's), And attached all thee documents they asked for. After that the status on the CIC site was updated as "Documents Received". We had mailed all the certificates etc with the additional documents, so i dont think any further documents are required now. What think we should now directly get the medical request in sha ALLAh!

We received letter from CHC ISD for providing additional documents if not submitted earlier. We submitted PCC as was not submitted earlier, Supllementary information form (available online), family tree, copies of educational documents. Not sure...... But may be you will receive letter for medical or for additional information. Please keep informed as our time lines are same.

I think pakistan visa office is fast but delhi visa office still no update for dependent

Hi everyone. I've been reading everybody posting and decided to join in today.

here are my time lines -

1. Applied for sponsorship at CPC Mississauga - August 2007
2. Sponsorship Approved and file transferred to Delhi - Jan 2010
3. Request to parents by CIC delhi to submit forms - Feb 2010
4. Forms submitted by parents alongwith PCC - Mar 2010
5. Medicals and passports requested with new PCC, RPRF and original academic certificates for my mother(i wonder why). - Dec 2011
Online status changed to Application recieved. Medicals recieved - Mar 2012
6. Medicals done and all papers sent alongwith passports to CIC - Jan 2012
Online status changed to "We started processing your application on Sep 4 2012. Medicals have been received."
7. Sept 2012- Getting worried as mother's passport expires in mid October
8. Phone call from CIC Delhi to Dad in India asking how soon can they leave. Dad said on one week's notice. - 11-Sep-2012
9. Another phone call from CIC Delhi. This time by a different officer. Same questions asked and same replies given to them. This time dad decided to ask when are they sending the visas. . they said soon. - Sep 21-2012
10. Now waiting again.

So i guess they will be receiving it soon. Oh well, hopefully .

Omg the gap between file transfer and medical request is 2 years!!!
i hope this doesnt hope to us as we sent additional documents already

Yes.. Got the second AOR stating that a new file number has been created in July,2012. The letter was mailed from CHC-Islamabad. I just went through the letter again.. It also asks for the supplementary documents and Family Tree. But my sister's lawyer in canada said our documents are complete(We mailed all the forms along with all the certified documents including educationl documents, PCC, Relation to sponsor,birth certificates, NIC, passport copies ,etc) , they just mailed the 2nd AOR to inform us about our new file number. Our previous home address had changed, so we just changed the address after the 2nd AOR.. Thats the update so far! ..

Thanks Kandel! Yes, it took them 2 yrs to send the medicals. But things are moving fast these days as they want to clear the backlog as everyone knows.

just wondering how long PCC certificates are valid? We were advised to get them in the original letter dated March 30th of this year, 6 months on and nothing from CPC yet. Is it worth sending them in if close to the expiry date, and if so what is the best way, recorded delivery with a cover letter?
