Good News.... My parents just received the passport back with visa stamped.... Visa was stamped with effective date of 09/17/2012. Visa is
valid through 08/21/2013. Good luck to allof you.. ND LVO is moving fast now.. It took 8 months from transfer to ND LVO... so for people with no dependents, it takes about 7 to 9 months to finalize the case...

Hi guys,

My file was transfered to LVO in May and I receive nothing after that. My parents' Police clearance certificates are expiring in less than a month. Should I send them to LVO without waiting for request letter. (In Nov 2011 letter CIC suggested that we obtain pcc as it may takes long time)

They have closed the process to take new applications. You have to go for super visa now.

The standard visitor visa still exists. Sponsors are not forced to only apply for super visa, its a choice they willingly make. if you do not want to buy the medical insurance etc then you can apply for the the regular visitor visa.
