CIC starts Criminality with the medical request. The status of the Application is "App Received" with Medical Results received.

I believe, In progress is after criminality has been checked. I have reordered the GCMS notes that I'll get around Sep 28. Only after that I can be sure of what all the status.

Doesn't your status says "App Recieved"? So doesn't it make sense that it changes to In Progress after criminal check?

it makes sence... you just mentioned that CIC started criminality with the medical request in your case... in my case CIC did not start criminality with medicals...

today online status changed to Decision made from in process mode.

now it says following statement online:

We received xxxxxx's application for permanent residence on March 25, 2008.

We started processing xxxxxxxx's application on June 23, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on xxxxxxxx's application. The office will contact xxxxxxxxx concerning this decision.

Means my file has been approved or CIC will asked for more details or more medical test?

I sent orignal passport and medical in 4th August to CIC - New Delhi.

What is next now? Statement says CIC will contact my parents that means are they going to call parents or sending letter or what? My parents are not good in english speaking so i am little bit in worry.

your opinion would be much apereciated.

My case is still at CPP-O, so I can't be so sure, but this is what I think..
It means it's good news!
I do not think they will change status to 'Decision Made' if they want re-medicals.
Also, I highly doubt that they will 'call' your parents because their means of communication is via letter/e-mail.
So don't worry about that part. If your parents receives a letter/email, then you can ask translate for them.
My home country does not request for passport with medicals, so I'm not sure, but it could be that your parents will get their passport back with Visa stamped!

To get my mom's GCMS notes, I had selected "Electronic Files" / "Status of an Application" (just to the right of "electronics file") and provided the File Number and Location on further right.

what is next now?

A "Decision Made" status means they have finalised your application. Hence, it is unlikely that CIC would ask for more information from your parents. All you have to do now is sit back and relax till the visa arrives.

Thtas good news Rick2007.. Our times lines are pretty similar. Case was filed in April 2008. ECAS changed to "In Process" on June 23 and medical and passport request came on July 27 dated July 21. Medical were done first week of August. Passport was sent to ND on August 15. ECAS changed to medical received on August 30. All this means in your case, they already reached the stage where they just need to stamp the visa to passport and send it back to you. Our case will also follow yours in few days.

You can expect to get the passport back with Visa stamped within a month. Congratulations

Most of time it is a approval, only in exceptional cases will there be a rejection. You can request them for quicker turn around for visa issuing once decision has been made, sometimes even your MP can help. It should not take longer than 1 month for them to issue Visa.
