My file transfer to New Delhi on janurary 20 and i got AOR on feb 10 but after that there is no processing and my ecase still shows application received ,i dont how new delhi office pick up files they dont process according to sequence because i have dependant child in my file so i think they r giving preference to parents ony not parents with dependant .

Verru,

You might be right. In our case, there was no accompanying dependent. We received request for PCC in April (3 months after transfer) and then Ecase changed to in process in
June 2012.

Hi All

My mom is currently visiting Canada. If she gets a Medical Request, can she get her Medicals done In Canada ?? If yes does that delay the process.

Thanks
Jay

yes you can get the medical done in Canada and as far as delay is concerned I do not think so. My guess is its all centralized. May be delay of couple of days which is not an issues when you have waited years. :)

Can you share some more info, it seems we both have similar medical dates.
Requested by email on June 20th, did medicals same day on June 20th in BC
Doctor mailed it on June 28th received by CIC on June 29th.

No update in eCas yet (July 27th 2012)

Some progrees on my parent's case. Today they received letter from LVO New Delhi for Medicals and Passport. Letter was dated 07/21/2012. I am still waiting for my dad to scan the letter and send it to me.

Singhnx, Congratulations on the passport request.

Are you 100% sure that they asked for medical and passport at the same time.

Usually medical and PCC are requested, then if medicals clear, then you get a passport request. I guess you will know better when you receive the scanned letter.

Great news Singhnx01!!! Congratulations on getting to the last hurdles. My file was transferred in april but no action since then, maybe because i sent PCC along with the other documents to Mississauga. Lets see if your predictions come true and i get a similar letter in October.

hi veeru41.....i've the same timeline as singhnx01...my file was transferred in jan 2012 as well, n i revd AOR frm NDVO via e-mail....after dat no response.....hwever, hav dependents with my parents....e-mail says first reveiw within 9 mnths... So they dont have to send the Medical results to Local Visa Office ??? Is it Electronic Record updating system ? So now that the medicals are done -- where are you going to get the PPR request--- back home?? so she might have to travel back home to submit her passport to the LVO??

Thanks for the information

It appears that LVO's ask for passport when they sen out the request for medicals. How long they hold on to the passport is any one's guess.

as for my parents case: passports, updated docs, RPRF and medicals all in just one request and now visa issued.. by manila embassy.

those timelines on their website are not a good estimate anymore. when they said they are working on files received early to mid 2008 they meant files that were transferred to new delhi in 2008 which we all know is not correct.

Thanks ASidhu!!
In our case, they asked for PCC and someother documentation in April. Then ECAS changed from Application recieved to In Process in June . Now in end of July , we received this letter asking to get Medical , fillout form for any foreign travel and then send passport once medicals are completed. So yeah, letter is for both passport and medicals

Thanks Ranjha!

Did your ECAS changed to In process? This happenend for us on June 22 2012. This is good indication when they start processing ur file and you should receive something within 30 days for either medicals or/and passport if PCC is already been accepted.
