How about under Assessments:
Eligibility:?
Security: ?
Criminality: ?
Medical: Passed?

Eligibility Passed
Criminality: passed for my mom: In process for my dad and also says RCMP Fingerprinting required
Medical: passed

My mom never worked so probably it says passed for criminality without any other proof. My dad is a govt banker and probably thats why they need fingerprinting for him.

- CPP-O applicants may have to wait longer after medicals (but their medicals expiry would be extended)

**mood spoiler alert**
A lot depends on 168K backlog with only 21k to 25k applications being allotted for 2012. How much of this 21K (in terms of 'date originally applied') cover the backlog? Does it cover everyone who applied before Jan2010? Jan2009? On certain CIC stats (like Projected Inventory for 2012), what does 'In process 2011' mean? does it mean people who have received AOR in 2011? If that is the case, then the bulk of 6000 visas (NDL) would go to people who got approved before the Nov 2011 letters were issued? (very few have received AORs since Nov2011 process change) Am I missing something? (I hope, I am).

why do you think so?
not that i argue with you... i havent' read about any visa from CPP-O yet... but it's been only about 4 months since CPP-O people started get medicals done... why do you think they have to wait 12 months or even more?

As of November 2011 backlog was 165000 (as mentioned in press release during November 2011). Assuming that CIC received about 38000 applications per year (as mentioned in November 2011 press release) there is backlog of 152000 application received between the years 2008 and 2011. So there is probably another 13000 unprocessed application from 2007.

Applicants who submitted sponsorship applications up to February 2009 have received requests for additional documents. It seems likely that CIC requested documents from approximately 50000 applicatants in November 2011 and afterwards. Those who submitted all the documents early and met the requirements received the approvals and files were transferred to Ottawa or local visa offices.

My thought is that if your sponsorship application is approved and it is within the first 25000 approved applications, a decision should be expected within 2012.

Under processing times on CIC website there is information regarding processing time for Spouses (applications processed within Canada and sponsored person living in Canada) and it is 8 months for Step 2 (after sponsorship approval). In my opinion Step 2 processing times for approval of parents and grandparents applications will also be same.

Since many applicants submitted additional documents around mid December, it is likely that by the end of next month (July 2012) or in early August 2012, Step 2 approvals will end the wait for early Birds...:)

Have a question for those members whose e-cas stopped working just before receiving AOR or any change in status.
so when u say,"my e-cas is not working " means u can't click on "check application status"(very first page on cic website) ?? or is it something else?

eCas Check Status page is not loading.
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
•Internet connectivity has been lost.
•The website is temporarily unavailable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

The home page opens it is just the application status page that takes forever. After you put info in there and submit,it won't open.
