received GCMS notes today... the reason why my status has not changed to 'Medicals received' is clear - my mom is required to have additional tests... not clear is why i did not receive the mail with this request...

You are not representative for your parents, may be CPP-O sent latter to your parents. I would suggest ask your parents write e-mail and fax to CPP-O; that they have not received any mail regarding additional tests.Shuga said:

E.g. if I order now and say 2 weeks from now an update happens, will that update be captured in the notes or do they cup off based on the date I ordered?
I assume it probably takes them a couple of weeks to even get to my order so I hope they include as much as available at the actual pull date not my order date...

THey say email is for smaller files but how would i know if my parents file is small enough for the notes to be sent by email? (they did apply for TRVs many times before prior to the PR application).

it is not visible in the electronic files (notes)... but it is visible if you order a copy of the physical file...Anik said:

in my case it was almost one month gap between the date i received the notes and the last update... i mean - they created the notes as soon as they received my request... then waited for a month... then send it to me... so all updates are 1 month old...Anik said:

They send so many people for those extra tb x-rays/ tests...annoying (I personlaly know many - even for visitor visa). As soon as they spot any spot on the lungs, they do it. THis is kind of frustrating, because it delays the process (for most people - and all people I know who had to do those tests - it ended up being nothing in the end, but delay).
I wish they at least started other components of processing (e.g. security/ clearance) but it looks like they do not do that (judging by your notes).
Clearly, multitasking is not in their job description
