Hello,

My mom is just diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and advised to have Chemo and surgery after. My mothers PGP application is approved and moved to Vancouver office last month ( timeline in signature) , I believe this means her medical request will come in 2 to 3 months. I am unsure what needs to be done at this point and was hoping for some inputs.

CIC increased cap for inadmissibility in 2018, have a look at the link, it is around $24,057 per year, if the cost of treatment will be less than this amount, then u have a valid argument if IRCC ask u about your mothers condition. You can explain this to IRCC that treatment will be less than $24057/year.

Thank you for your response . Appreciate it. I was just curious if my mom gets her medical request in another one to two months since the file is already moved to Vancouver she won’t be able get her medical done as she will be under going chemotherapy. Should I inform that to CIC in advance ?

Vancouver office is usually slow, I hope your mother recovers before u get medical request.

I am not sure about this scenario that you ask, I apologize for that.

I think u should take advice from some good consultant and one thing I must tell u that most of immigration consultants are just useless and don’t know what they are doing, not all.

So, when u ask any about this thing, just ask from 3-4 consultants.

Sorry to hear. I am not sure what you inform the CIC. There are no guidelines to put the application on hold. Do you want to withdraw your application? Can you let us know your expectation from IRCC?

I was hoping that there might be a way there can be a delay in medical request but I guess you answered my question. Somewhere I read I need to let IRCC know if there is a change in circumstances so I was curious if I should let ORCC know if the situation.

I need help ,, my parents received the information letter today but we didnt get what should we do,,, they r living outside canada but they have visit visa,, should they send theor passport for a new visa or they just come woth their existing visa,, I donno plz help

congrats. Thanks everyone for the support and input provided. Even me too got the PR confirmation letter today few mins ago from IRCC Mississauga Office. Not sure what happen, this office is working faster to complete PGP applications.

Question regarding the PR landing for parent. It is mentioned that applicant needs to land in Canada within 30 days or complete the Passport process with VFS within 30 days from today??? Reason behind, we have cousin wedding coming in Mar, So my parents want to travel in April 1st week to Canada. Please comment how to resolve or notify IRCC under this scenario. Kindly some inputs.

30 days deadline is for passport submission and landing date usually the date you did your medical.
You will have time after you will get back your passports from vfs.

Hi everyone, my parents received a letter this month (Feb 2023) to submit their passports for COPR issuance. However, upon CIC's request, they did their medical examination more than a year ago, on Jan 2022. Should it be any problem in this case?
