You needed to tell CIC that your parents left Canada. They don’t qualify for virtual landing as Outland applicants. You should you need to reply to the email explaining they are no longer in Canada.

In September, I received a passport request for my parents they have requested us to submit our passport to VFS in Pakistan. and my parent did exactly that.

Couple of days later, we received an email from the IRCC in Canada, they were saying that they have got Permanent residence approved and says that This letter constitutes an official document issued by the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. You can provide a copy of this letter to prove that you are a permanent resident of Canada. But If we have left Canada and then we need to reply to the email given, we did replied to their email to update them that they are not in Canada.

Next day we received a email reply that was from High commission in Islamabad, they told us that since Parents are PR in Canada now, so they can not issue a visa to them, they need to apply for a PRTD. (Permanent resident travel document). they also cancelled his visit visa, because they think he is PR now.

We received a passport from them and then on 1st October we have applied for the PRTD as well. Now this Monday we have received an email from the IRCC saying that since my parents were not in Canada when they issued the PR, so IRCC has returned your status back to foreign national. Further It is important for you to contact IRCC by replying to us on email when you are back in Canada in order for us to confirm your permanent resident status at that time.

Now my concern,
1) the invitation letter was asking to submit the passport to vfs in Islamabad with in 30 days, we did it within few days but they returned it due to IRCC granting PR by mistake. but now 30 days have been passed and now the IRCC realized this mistake so they are asking to submit for visa again, but how 30 days are now gone.

2) we called CIC on hotline and they say that they can not access our application as it has been moved somewhere else out side Canada.

I am lost, not sure what to do. :-(

Hello, just wanna know if anyone has the same situation:
Our application is in Mississauga. My parents application went DM2 in March, and then the COVID situation started so no updates since then. Earlier this month I found out the application status has changed back to ip. I thought they want additional documents? However it’s been 3 weeks now still no updates. I submitted webform and asks about updates they are saying all the required docs and info has been received.
Just wondering if anyone was the same? My parents medical is about to expire soon.

Just resend whatever docs they are asking
Plus initiate web form enquiry as well.
Are your parents in Canada or outside?
If they are here chances are you can get call from CIC

Best is you contact your local mp and seek their help to clear this.

Hi guys please help ,

My parents application was received June 18,2019 and is in process for both side since February 07,2020. They are here in Toronto and we requested GCMS note after one month came back without any new information. It just show last update was Feb 07 and" SPR eligibility is not started"
And SA's met for: "blank" status: not started.

I was thinking our application stuck in SSA check as my husband was a cosigner and sponsored in the pas, but apparently it's not.

Any thoughts or experiences of this long delayed .

I had the same issue. Your file got stuck in social assistance check from province. In my case the province replied but IRCC never received it. I requested my MP to check with province again. The province sent the response once again in Oct 2020 and the IRCC updated my file in 2 weeks. Call your MP I would say.

Did you call the IRCC? I would say request the ATIP notes.

yeah it is super strange. I did request a note however that will take more than a month. I sent a webform they are just replying that the application is still in process. I think I can try calling them but I will just assume the same response.

they didn’t ask for any documents. They said all the documents have been received. They are outside Canada unfortunately. I guess I will just have to wait.

As per tracker sheet, your application is processed at NDVO. Is that correct? You will be first DM2 from NDVO after a very long time (Apr2020).

oh really. I didnt hear from htem after we sent all the requested docs such as PCC, Medicals etc in March. Now, I see DM2 in ECAS but no other info. It is at NDVO. Waiting to see if something comes up in CIC page or email from NDVO.

Hi, are you parents currently in Canada? Can you please also tell me what's the medical passed date? In our case, there's no DM2, yet worried about the medicals expiry in mid-Dec.

Yes, they are in Canada. Medicals was done more than one year back ( 23Oct2019).

What did you advise regarding visa expiration?
In my case we are 29th may applicant!
Medical expires on Dec 14th and visa in march.

We said that their super visa period will end in another 6months to go back. I am not sure how long medical is valid, our medical was done last year 23rdOct2019. Apparently we got call in sep 2020 and again on 22nd Oct. On the same day(22nd oct) decision made got updated.

can you update that we got PR message (online) that my parents are Permanent resident as of today and they can avail all benefits of PR. Since they are already in Canada, we can apply for PR card.

This morning when I logged into my ecas PR still shows In Process but when I went into sponsorship application status, there is one more line there saying
"We sent you correspondence on October 28, 2020. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

but I haven't received any emails nor there is anything on Mycic. They had asked for address update and dads resume on 19th and i sent that on last Friday. Any idea what this could be? We didn't receive anything yesterday!

how do i check to ensure that my PGP file is not stuck in social assistance enquiry process ?

i filed my PGP in June 13 2019 and sponsorship has been in process since Jan 2020 but no updates yet and i am worried that something is stuck.
