Did you check your ecas? Was there any missing doc request?
I tried searching for the application via the Online tool and also tried linking the paper application to my mothers existing online account( she had created this account for visitor visa purposes).

In both cases, I get a message stating that the application was not found

Hi guys,

I might be jumping the gun here, but I want to be prepared for what might come and what are my options. My sponsorship application was received on June 3rd, and of course I do not have any AOR yet. I am currently expecting, and my mom is planned to come and help me with the baby at the beginning of October and she will stay until February. I am 100% certain that the biometrics request will come in that timeframe. Now, I have read that some parents did not receive any BIO requests since their parents were in Canada. Is this because they already gave their biometrics in the past 2 years, or IRCC is very considerate and does not ask for BIO because it cannot be done in Canada? Is the only alternative to go to US for the bio? I really would not like to spend thousand dollars just for this, and also my mom does not have US visa. Has anyone been in this position that can give any advice?

Thanks,
Bici
Congrats to the future parents! I called CIC around 2 weeks back to check if they have received the additional docs sent. While chatting, I informed the agent that my mom was in Canada till Jan next year (thankfully not because of any babies :) ). She advised me to update the address because it's a long stay. I'm hoping that mom will not get bio request. You can update your mom's address on the very day she lands and hope for no bio request too. Otherwise it depends on the series of events, if the request comes close to her departure date, my mom will do it back home. Else, guess it will be a trip to the US or Mexico for us!
