Hi.. I applied my parents PR in May 2018 and files moved to New Delhi in Feb 2019. From April 2019, Files is under process. It’s been more than one year, we haven’t get any update. Please help me how to inquire If there is anything missing in file or how long they will take to further process.
I am in same boat. I applied under parent sponsor programme in May 2018. I received medical request in end of November 2019 from New delhi. We submitted it the same week and online it reflects that medical has been received and background check is in process. They are also reviewing the CSQ that i sent them in May 2019. I dont know what is taking so long. The lockdown happened in mid-march 2020 but not sure what happened. One of my friend applied in 2019 and his medical is also done.
The medical is valid for 6 months, not sure if we will have to do it again and how long it will process.

We didn’t have any update. I don’t know why they took so long time. At least your parents medical has done and hope for the complete processing soon.

Does anyone know exactly if they have started processing all the delayed applications or when they would be doing so. Any specifics?

Dear members,
My parents received their COPR last year and it will expire on Aug 26, 2020. Only thing left is to arrive in Canada.

IRCC website mentions that the traveler must have a plan to quarantine for 14 days when he/she arrives in Canada, including
  • a place to stay
  • how you’ll
    • get to your destination
    • get your groceries
    • access essential services and medical care
Has anyone gone through this process for self or for parents? I am curious to know what documents to submit as proof at the airport. Thanks a lot.

Does it mean that you have got your / parents visas and the only ting left is arrive in Canada? Plz specify if the visas stamped were before the Covid 19 pandemic crisis or after?

I think there’s an automatic extension for further 3 months but should inform through the web form of the details of departure. I have no further details how things are worked out.

I am also waiting after June 2019. Time line is under my Signatures.

My father in Law was in police. Thinking that is why it is taking so long
