Is it a good idea to send in the Travel History form with the initial application?
will recommend to not to - as if CIC required this they will ask you to provide :)
may will request you to provide while they sent request for medical and pcc... not sure or may they won't needed in your case :)

Also I am really confused about biometrics. When does this get done?
Usually bio-metric will be done as soon as your parents application goes in processing phase because there are two steps

1- (SA)Sponsorship Approval for sponsors
2- After SA, Parents Application will transferred to local visa office and they will send you a request to do a bio-metrics

Hope this helps!

Question regarding Financial Evaluation (IMM 5768): I was working as IT contractor from 2014, 2015, 2016 and moved to employment in mid 2016 since then I am on employment. I incorporated myself and was billing through my corporation. As you know corporation financial years start from July and end Jun next year and Personal tax year is Jan to Dec. In this scenario how I fill employment history;
example 01:
2014-07-01 to 2015-06-30 xxxxx $$$$$$
2015-07-01 to 2016-06-30 xxxxx $$$$$$
2016-07-01 to 2016-12-31 xxxxx $$$$$$

example 02:
2015-01-01 to 2015-06-30 xxxxx $ (how to break total amount just divide by 2 etc please advise.)
2015-07-01 to 2015-12-31 xxxxx -------------------------------------

There is a question in 0008, asking Previous countries of residence: During the past five years have you lived in any country other than your country of citizenship or your current country of residence (indicated above) for more than six months?

I always thought the 6 months means consecutive 6 months, but today I called CIC, the agent said it should be 6 cumulative months. As for my parent their cumulative visits are over 6 months, I am start thinking the benefit of selecting "Yes". Will picking "Yes" give more opportunity for the case to be transferred to Ottawa?

The draw back will be having to give Canadian PCC as my parents are not here in Canada. Does CIC do name check first, only when there are duplicate names, they will ask for finger print?

Any other draw back of picking "Yes" and list the visits to Canada?

Thanks for advice.

Thank Ali for reply, here is the thing if I have incorporated myself and I was billing to customer and was receiving money in corporation account. I have also had enrolled myself as employee to my corporation to get salary. My personal payroll was 50% less of the gross income I was getting on incorporation level. I was generating T4 for my payroll which contains 50% of my earning and 50% earning was on incorporation level.

badar14,

I had similar if not the exact problem you are having right now. IRCC web form will not help you, as they will only explain the potential causes for not being able to link to your MyCic A/C.

Try the following instead:

1) Are you using your parents (primary applicant's last name) and application number?
I the answer is "Yes". Check your primary applicant's name on his/her passport. If the passport does not specify "last" and "first" name, then CIC will use the whole name as "last name".
If that is indeed the case, use primary applicant's the entire name as his/her "last name".
2) Then enter the application number (if using last name and application number).
3) As for numbers of family members, they do not count kids. So, try 4.
If that does not work, try 3. I was trying 4 (me & my wife + parents = 4) to link my application and did not work. It turned out that CIC did not count my wife and kid. So, as odd as it may be, the "odd" number - 3 - might just work for you.

Good luck!
Thanks for suggestion I tried everything i can and all suggestions. Looks like i have to rely on Ecas status only.

Thanks anyways

S.B

I got an email today asking for my parent's divorce certificate ( I am sponsoring my mother only) from 1979. I am not sure if she can find it and it was in USSR which we left more then 20 years ago. What do you think should I do if we do not find it? I am not keeping contact with my father who lives in completely different country.

Your application must have been under review and after review CIC will made a decision and unfortunately you have to be patient in this regards.. Usually it takes upto one or two month to have an AOR(Acknowledgement of Receipt) and SA(Sponsorship Approval) :)
Currently the status says "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility". So apparently it's not even under review.

I don't think you need to worry
my application show `We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.` on IRCC and it's been like this since I linked my application 1 month ago
I can't even find my application on ECAS until today
and I already received my SA last Friday and telling me that my parent's case is being assigned to LVO.
IRCC is just slow, like any other government

Maybe I should contact IRCC and see why....

Hi guys, for Background Declaration 5669, question 6 - personal History. it ask to provide details of personal history of the past 10 years.

Do I have to list all the travels as well? my parents travel in and out of country alot for business. E.g. they are employed in 2007 - 2017, but travel for 2-3 month each year.

Do I list, 2007 04 - 2007-06: employed - travelling, visitor. 2007-06-2007-10: employed, citizen and continue for each year?

Then for question 10 - Addresses
Do list all the address they lived at including the visits:
1. to canada?
2. even the short week trips e.g a cruise?
3. or a 3 day trip to NY?

Thanks a Bunch!
